Here are my Week 13 fantasy football quarterback rankings.

1. Michael Vick vs. Houston (Thursday)
2. Peyton Manning vs. Dallas
3. Drew Brees @ Cincinnati
4. Aaron Rodgers vs. San Francisco
5. Kyle Orton @ Kansas City
6. Philip Rivers vs. Oakland
7. Eli Manning vs. Washington
8. Tom Brady vs. New York Jets (Monday)
9. Matt Cassel vs. Denver
10. Jay Cutler @ Detroit
11. Sam Bradford @ Arizona
12. Matt Ryan @ Tampa Bay
13. Mark Sanchez @ New England (Monday)
14. Ben Roethlisberger @ Baltimore
15. Joe Flacco vs. Pittsburgh
16. Josh Freeman vs. Atlanta
17. Carson Palmer vs. New Orleans
18. Matt Schaub @ Philadelphia (Thursday)
19. David Garrard @ Tennessee
20. Brett Favre vs. Buffalo
21. Jon Kitna @ Indianapolis
22. Donovan McNabb @ New York Giants
23. Ryan Fitzpatrick @ Minnesota
24. Chad Henne vs. Cleveland
25. Derek Anderson vs. St. Louis

Inside the numbers:

  • Michael Vick didn’t get the win for the Eagles, but he passed Chicago’s tough test with flying colors throwing for 333 yards and a pair of touchdowns (one interception). He added 44 yards on the ground. He’s a terrific play against Houston’s generous pass defense.
  • No Moss, no problem for Tom Brady. He has 11 touchdown passes in his past four games. The Jets will present a challenge, but it would be hard to sit him the way he’s playing right now.
  • Is Dwayne Bowe red hot or is it Matt Cassel? My guess is that it’s a combination of both. Cassel has 12 touchdown passes in his past four games, and is a good play against a vulnerable Broncos’ pass defense, who he torched for 469 yards and four touchdowns in week ten.
  • I guess Jay Cutler may be back. With Detroit on tap, it appears to be a good week to play him.
  • Sam Bradford has plenty of room to improve on his first game against Arizona, and I have every reason to believe he will.
  • Mark Sanchez threw for 220 yards and three scores in the first meeting with the Patriots. He’s a borderline fantasy starter this week.

Is Flacco really a better play than Schaub this week?

I think he is, but if you have the two and want to play Schaub, I have no problem with that. The difference between a 15 and a 18 is minimal. Looking at how they have been playing recently, Flacco is averaging 264.2 yards with 11 TDs, 2 INTs in past five games. Schaub is averaging 242.8 with 6 TDs, 2 INTs.
