Here are my Week 14 fantasy football quarterback rankings.

1. Michael Vick @ Dallas
2. Aaron Rodgers @ Detroit
3. Drew Brees vs. St. Louis
4. Peyton Manning @ Tennessee (Thursday)
5. Philip Rivers vs. Kansas City
6. Joe Flacco @ Houston (Monday)
7. Ben Roethlisberger vs. Cincinnati
8. Jay Cutler vs. New England
9. Tom Brady @ Chicago
10. Eli Manning @ Minnesota
11. Josh Freeman @ Washington
12. Kyle Orton @ Arizona
13. Matt Schaub vs. Baltimore (Monday)
14. Mark Sanchez vs. Miami
15. Matt Ryan @ Carolina
16. Carson Palmer @ Pittsburgh
17. David Garrard vs. Oakland
18. Jason Campbell @ Jacksonville
19. Sam Bradford @ New Orleans
20. Alex Smith  vs. Seattle
21. Jon Kitna vs. Philadelphia
22. Donovan McNabb vs. Tampa Bay
23. Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Cleveland
24. Drew Stanton vs. Green Bay
25. Matt Hasselbeck @ San Francisco

Inside the numbers:

  • Michael Vick repeats as the top ranked QB. He’s firing on all cylinders and Dallas just does not have what it takes to slow him down.
  • Aaron Rodgers is on fire. He has 11 touchdown passes and one touchdown run in his past four games. Plus, he is averaging 304.6 passing yards with 14 touchdowns in five career games against the Lions.
  • The Colts are at .500, but I expect Peyton Manning to bounce back after his four interception game. He has 27 career TD tosses against Tennessee. NFL betting suggests Peyton will have a big game in his return to Tennessee.
  • I think Joe Flacco will find Houston’s defense much more to his liking than the Steel Curtain.
  • I’m a little fearful that the Broncos will run all over Arizona, making Orton an afterthought again.
  • After getting burned by Sam Bradford last week, I am extra cautious this week, especially going up against New Orleans.
  • Even if Brett Favre starts this week’s game against the Giants, I don’t expect him to finish it. I don’t like Favre or Tarvaris this week.
  • Alex Smith replaces Troy Smith in the Niners’ starting lineup and in the rankings.
  • Matt Cassel will likely miss the game after undergoing an appendectomy. Matt Hasselbeck takes his spot.

well i managed to clinch a spot in the playoffs in my league, however i’m still struggling with the QB positions on my team… I have Orton, Kitna, and Hasselbeck. I don’t feel as though they are good bets for the next two weeks. Who should I pick up? There aren’t too many options… but here goes:

Henne, Campbell, A. Smith, Anderson, Wallace, Stanton, Collins

    What do you think?

I don’t like any of those options better than what you have. I’d try Orton this week and see what they look like under new coaching.

    K. I have to start two quarterbacks though. Should I go with Orton and Kitna?
