Here are my Week 6 fantasy football quarterback rankings. Remember Arizona, Buffalo, Carolina, and Cincinnati are on bye.
.

1. Philip Rivers @ St. Louis
2. Peyton Manning @ Washington
3. Aaron Rodgers vs. Miami
4. Eli Manning vs. Detroit
5. Tony Romo @ Minnesota
6. Drew Brees @ Tampa Bay
7. Tom Brady vs. Baltimore
8. Matt Schaub vs. Kansas City
9. Jay Cutler vs. Seattle
10. Joe Flacco @ New England
11.  Kyle Orton vs. New York Jets
12. Ben Roethlisberger vs. Cleveland
13. Matt Ryan @ Philadelphia
14. Kevin Kolb vs. Atlanta
15. Donovan McNabb vs. Indianapolis
16. Brett Favre vs. Dallas
17. Mark Sanchez @ Denver
18. Alex Smith vs. Oakland
19. Sam Bradford vs. San Diego
20. Josh Freeman vs. New Orleans

Inside the numbers:

  • Aaron Rodgers suffered a concussion at the end of the Packers game. Obviously this is a situation to monitor for Rodgers and the rest of the Packers’ offense.
  • Speaking of concussions, there obviously isn’t a quarterback controversy in Chicago. If Cutler is good to go, I look for the Chicago passing game to get back on track against a Seattle defense yielding 302 passing yards per game.
  • (Update) Kevin Kolb will start for the Eagles. He’s not as good a play as Vick would have been, but he should still be solid.
  • Kyle Orton passed the test against Baltimore. There’s no way I can consider him anything but a weekly starter at this point.
  • I’d actually prefer it if Big Ben had a tougher opponent in terms of his fantasy potential. I can see Tomlin and the Steelers ease Ben into action, leaning on Rashard Mendenhall against a Cleveland team allowing 120 ypg on the ground.
  • Alex Smith does not have a firm grasp on his job, but is a decent start this week against an Oakland team that has allowed ten passing TDs already.

Vince Young isnt even ranked against the worst pass defence in football in week 6? I would put him ahead of Vick who is probably not going to play.

If Vick doesn’t play then I’ll put Kolb in. I think it’s the CJ show against Jax this week. I just can’t rely on a guy averaging less that 140 passing yards per game.
