Here’s my Week 10 running back rankings. Keep in mind that Green Bay, Oakland, New Orleans, and San Diego are on bye.

1. Arian Foster @ Jacksonville
2. Adrian Peterson @ Chicago
3. Frank Gore vs. St. Louis
4. Rashard Mendenhall vs. New England
5. Chris Johnson @ Miami
6. Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Houston
7. Ahmad Bradshaw vs. Dallas
8. LeSean McCoy @ Washington
9. Jahvid Best @ Buffalo
10. LeGarrette Blount vs. Carolina
11. Jamaal Charles @ Denver
12. Ray Rice @ Atlanta (10.2 fantasy points)
13. Cedric Benson @ Indianapolis
14. Steven Jackson @ San Francisco
15. LaDainian Tomlinson @ Cleveland
16. Fred Jackson vs. Detroit
17. Peyton Hillis vs. New York Jets
18. Matt Forte vs. Minnesota
19. Beanie Wells vs. Seattle
20. Thomas Jones @ Denver
21. Marshawn Lynch @ Arizona
22. Knowshon Moreno vs. Kansas City
23. Ryan Torain vs. Philadelphia
24. Ronnie Brown vs. Tennessee
25. BenJarvus Green-Ellis @ Pittsburgh
26. Shonn Greene @ Cleveland
27. Mike Goodson @ Tampa Bay
28. Donald Brown vs. Cincinnati
29. Brandon Jacobs vs. Dallas
30. Ricky Williams vs. Tennessee

Inside the numbers:

  • Arian Foster has ten touchdowns (9 rushing, 1 receiving) already. The Jags have allowed 11 rushing TDs on the year, second worst in the league.
  • Worst in the league with 14 is Denver. Both Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones are good plays once again.
  • Frank Gore averages 100.3 total yards against St. Louis with ten touchdowns in eight games.
  • Mojo has seven touchdowns in seven career games against Houston.
  • Ahmad Bradshaw ran for 126 yards the last time he played the Cowboys.
  • Buffalo has allowed a league high 178.3 rushing yards per game. The electric Jahvid Best could put up monster numbers.
  • LaDainian Tomlinson has done nearly as much damage catching the ball (71 yards) as he has running the ball (101 yards) in his past two games.
  • DeAngelo Williams will be inactive, moving Mike Goodson into the rankings. That said, he’s not a great play.
  • The updated ranking reflect Thursday night’s game. Ray Rice set the bar for low-end RB1 while Michael Turner played his way out of the rankings.

Clinton Portis practiced Monday, do you see him taking value away from Torain? Would you take Torain or Ronnie Brown for the rest of the season?

PPR League….flex position…..who do you go with this week Garcon/Mike Williams (SEA)/or Blount? I’m leaning towards Garcon (bounce back) or Blount (Carolina has big problems)….thanks a million

PPR League- I need to start one of the following RB’s: L. Blount, D. Brown, or F. Jackson? Blount lost me a close game last week, but I realize he has a good matchup. Can I trust him this week? Thanks for the help.

CP experienced swelling after practicing so I think he’s at least a week away. I’d take Ronnie unless CP has setback.

I like all of the above, but probably lean towards Williams since it’s PPR. He should have field day against the Cards.

I’d probably go with Blount. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went for 100 yards and a score.

Who would you start this week, 6 points per passing TD: Schaub @ Jaguars or Fitzpatrick VS. Lions?

Or should I drop Fitz and start either Garrard VS. Texans, or Freeman VS. Panthers?

PPR, which 2 RBs would you start?

Turner VS. Ravens, Charles @ Broncos, Blount VS. Panthers

Also PPR, pick 2 WRs to start:

Wallace VS. Patriots, R. Moss @ Dolphins, Steve Johnson VS. Lions, Knox VS. Vikings

I’d probably go with Schaub, but Garrard is a pretty good option this week.

I’d have Blount as odd man out in that mix. I would go with Wallace and johnson.

Thanks for all the insight. One final question: same ppr league as above – flex spot… fred jackson, jeremy maclin, or donald brown? i’m leaning toward jackson but maclin has the big game ability that could burn me. What do you think?

Since it’s PPR I’d lean towards Maclin. Vick should be even more comfortable this week.

Hey so who do you like better as an rb4 for the rest of the season, beanie wells or marshawn lynch? Right now I’ve got gore, benson, best & wells. While lynch is on the wire

    I’d say Lynch because he’s healthy. I don’t trust Beanie’s knee.
