Here’s my Week 11 running back rankings.

1. Rashard Mendenhall vs. Oakland
2. Frank Gore vs. Tampa Bay
3. Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Cleveland
4. Arian Foster @ New York Jets
5. Adrian Peterson vs. Green Bay
6. Chris Johnson vs. Washington
7. Michael Turner @ St. Louis
8. Ray Rice @ Carolina
9. Cedric Benson vs. Buffalo
10. Jamaal Charles vs. Arizona
11. Peyton Hillis @ Jacksonville
12. LeSean McCoy vs. New York Giants
13. Ahmad Bradshaw @ Philadelphia
14. Darren McFadden @ Pittsburgh
15. Jahvid Best @ Dallas
16. Steven Jackson vs. Atlanta
17. LeGarrette Blount @ San Francisco
18. Fred Jackson @ Cincinnati
19. LaDainian Tomlinson vs. Houston
20. Matt Forte @ Miami
21. Felix Jones vs. Detroit
22. BenJarvus Green-Ellis vs. Indianapolis
23. Thomas Jones vs. Arizona
24. Keiland Williams @ Tennessee
25. Shonn Greene vs. Houston
26. Tim Hightower @ Kansas City
27. Knowshon Moreno @ San Diego
28. Brandon Jackson @ Minnesota
29. Marshawn Lynch @ New Orleans
30. Michael Bush @ Pittsburgh
31. Ryan Mathews vs. Denver
32. Ronnie Brown vs. Chicago
33. Mike Tolbert vs. Denver
34. Mike Goodson vs. Baltimore
35. Justin Forsett @ New Orleans

Inside the numbers:

  • Oakland ranks 25th with 124.8 rushing yards allowed. After a relatively quiet game against New England, look for Mendenhall to explode against the Raiders.
  • Tampa Bay is better, but they are still yielding 143.8 yards per fame on the ground. Frank Gore should dominate.
  • The concerns about MJD’s knee are a thing of the past after three straight strong performances.
  • Adrian Peterson averages 126.3 total yards with five touchdowns in seven games against Green Bay.
  • Michael Turner and Ray Rice make exceptional plays after the extra rest from playing in the Thursday game.
  • Cedric Benson could top the 100 yard mark for the second time this year as he faces Buffalo’s league worst run defense (166.9 ypg).
  • Keiland Williams had a coming out party against the Eagles, but Ryan Torain and Clinton Portis could get some work next week.
  • ***Update*** DeAngelo Williams was placed on IR and it looks like Goodson will get the start. He’s not a great play though.

Where do you have Felix Jones (vs. DET)?

He should be about #22. Though most of his scoring came on a big play, he’ll still be heavily involved next week. I’ll add him. Thanks.

You don’t think Reggie Bush has top 35 potential this week?

No. I can’t trust him until he shows me something. Maybe in PPR leagues, but I wouldn’t play him even in a flex this week in standard leagues.

Brady or Orton….Marcedes Lewis or ob Gronkowski, Atlanta Defense or New England and play Michael Turner???

Turner had a tough game, but I’d expect him to bounce back. I’m thinking Brady over Orton and Marcedes over Gonkowski.

I’d go with ATL D. I want no parts of facing Peyton.

Brady over Orton? I don’t think so! Orton is the second highest scoring fantasy qb behind Rivers. He’s been fantastic all season.

We’re all entitled to our opinions. I by know means think I’m always right. If I had to choose between the two, I’m going with TB this week.

I like Forte and Witten. Keiland was nice on Monday, but Shanahan is nuts and I can’t trust him fully yet. Tolbert will be splitting carries. I like Witten, but by a slim margin. If your gut say Marcedes, I wouldn’t put up much of a fight.

All good choices. I like Foster and AP. Both have been incredibly consistent this year. Arian has only had one dud, and the passing game should keep the Jets honest. I like Bradshaw as well, but the other two are just as likely to put up good yardage totals, but are way more likely to score TDs.

Now that McCoy has an injury to fight through, does he drop in your rankings? My other options are Blount and FJax, so I have a tough decision. Who would you choose?

Starting Nicks Austin Harvin benching Knox

    Starting Vick benching Schaub
    Starting A. Petereson
Have to chose 1 more between McCoy and Bradshaw
Likewise, I am currently starting Pettigrew. But have Hernandez, Olsen. Heap, Boss, and Gronkski are available in FA – Part of me wants to start Kevin Boss, but then would have Nicks, Bradshaw, Boss.

Would you bench bradshaw, start kevin boss?
or start bradshaw and keep pettigrew in at TE. Again McCoy is on the bench

@Matt – I’m sticking with McCoy with the same scenario of having both Blount and FJax. I think the Birds are just resting him a little extra because of the Monday night game. If you wanted to turn to Blount or FJax, I totally understand that.
@James – I have McCoy and Bradshaw at 12 & 13, maybe will McCoy a little banged up (shoulder) you would rather go that route. I like Pettigrew over the other TE options.

Is it time to dump Ryan Mathews? Not sure why I keep holding on, he doesnt get goal line carries, doesnt play a lot of the passing downs and has a bad ankle.

I would give him this week. If he doesn’t look better coming out of a bye, I can see letting him go if you have adequate RB depth.
