Here’s my Week 13 tight end rankings.

1. Jacob Tamme vs. Dallas
2. Todd Heap vs. Pittsburgh
3. Antonio Gates vs. Oakland
4. Kevin Boss vs. Washington
5. Kellen Winslow vs. Atlanta
6. Tony Gonzalez @ Tampa Bay
7. Chris Cooley @ New York Giants
8. Brandon Pettigrew vs. Chicago
9. Jason Witten @ Indianapolis
10. Dustin Keller @ New England (Monday)
11. Marcedes Lewis @ Tennessee
12. Greg Olsen @ Detroit
13. Vernon Davis @ Green Bay
14. Rob Gronkowski vs. New York Jets (Monday)
15. Heath Miller @ Baltimore
16. Brent Celek vs. Houston (Thursday)
17. Joel Drsessen @ Philadelphia (Thursday)
18. Visanthe Shiancoe vs. Buffalo
19. Jermaine Gresham vs. New Orleans
20. Aaron Hernandez vs. New York Jets (Monday)

Inside the numbers:

  • Antonio Gates returned, but I’d much rather trust Jacob Tamme (averaging 76.3 yards and 0.5 TDs in past four games) and the red hot Todd Heap (five TDs in past six games).
  • Still short at WR, I like Kevin Boss against pass-friendly Washington. He has three TDs in his past four games.
  • Greg Olsen has three TDs in the past four games and a favorable match-up against Detroit.
  • Rob Gronkowski has been the touchdown threat, but not he’s getting more looks than Aaron Hernandez, making him a borderlin TE1. Although Hernandez had six catches for 101 yards in the first meeting with the Jets.
  • Meanwhile Dustin Keller had 115 yards and a score against the Patriots.
  • Brent Celek made a brilliant touchdown grab, and is a decent option against Houston.

It’s worth noting that Vick missed a wide-open Celek in the first quarter … would have been the first of two TDs for Celek.

    Brady – you don’t list a backup
AP & Foster – You don’t list backup RBs
Wallace – Baltimore has a tough defense, but I think his speed makes him tough to cover.(plus you listed him twice so you must like him :o P)
Braylon – Patriots are last in the league in pass defense. he scored against them last time
Austin – Dez had been better of late, but he got nothing last week. can’t bring myself to endorse him when you have a stud wr like austin available.
***If the weather is supposed to be bad in NE, I’d bench Braylon and go with the two Cowboys.
NYJ D – both have tough match-ups so I went with the better unit.
    n. folk – kickers are tough to nail down, but I just think Folk is the more talented K right now
    austin -

My delema this week are my RB and WR:
At running back I have Ahmad Bradshaw, Ricky Williams, and Mike Goodson their backsups are Brandon Jacobs and Brian Westbroook.

@ WR I have Ochocinco, Steve Johnson, Marques Colston and Deion Branch and their backups are Eddie Royal, Jacoby Ford, Malcom Flyod an Jason Avant.

    should i make any changes?

I would probably use Jacobs over Ricky. Cleveland has been pretty tough against the run. I’m with you at WR.

With the injuries continuing in Indy, Tamme seems to be a lock again. Would you play Tamme over any of the of the following at flex?
    Blair White
    Derrick Mason

I prefer Manningham over Tamme, but I can certainly see going with Tamme in that spot.
