37. Roy Williams @ New York Giants
38. Mike Thomas vs. Houston
39. Blair White vs. Cincinnati
40. Steve Smith (CAR) @ Tampa Bay
.
.

Inside the numbers:

  • Andre Johnson squares off against Jacksonville, who is tied for 29th with 17 passing TDs and ranks 28th with 267.1 passing yards allowed per game.
  • T.O. has seven touchdowns in his past five games. Say what you want about him, the dude can play. Unlike Randy Moss, his effort is never in question.
  • Roddy White plays on Thursday, which doesn’t allow him as much time to allow his knee to heal. He’ll be limited against Baltimore. ***Update*** Roddy White is a beast and is easily one of the top two WRs in the game.
  • Steve Johnson’s touchdown streak ended, but his 11 catches for 145 yards was a great consolation prize.
  • You just don’t know what you’re going to get from Randy Moss this week.
  • Carolina’s offense is so inept that it’s hard to trust their Steve Smith.

So I need a little WR/Flex adivice my friend. Should I go with Sims-Walker, Knox, Smith (NYG), or Breaston in week ten for my third receiver play. My first two that I’m starting are Brandon Marshal and T.O. And I’m going with Benson as my flex as of now. Any advice I feel that I have alot of really favorable matchups this week?

@ Mike – I just noticed that as I was getting the template set for my Week 11 WR rankings. He was lost in the copy and paste shuffle. He has been added at #6. Good catch.
DD – My favorite of that crew is Steve Smith. Dallas was awful last week and a new coach shouldn’t change things that much.

@Lester: Why you have Sims-Walker ranked so low this week against Houston? He has 17 rec, 253 yards, and 3 TD in his last 4 weeks … including gaudy stats against the 2nd-worst passing defense (Dallas) last week.

    No love for Nate Burleson?

Why even rank Carolina’s Steve Smith?
Carolina has no QB and no offense to speak of

I’d also have to agree with Peter …

He’s so up and down, plus I think Thomas and Marcedes take some of the work. It’s a cautious ranking based on his tendency to disappear.

I’m a little worried what they are going to do without Stafford.

I have a nice situation. I have Nicks, Owens, and Desean. I was gonna start Desean and Nicks, but TO has been blowing up, he gets all the targets, and Nicks got nicked up. Do you think the injury should deter me?

I don’t think the injury is serious. Hard to bench T.O. given his hot streak, but I can’t argue with DeSean and Nicks either.

I need FLEX advice. Right now I have Torain in the spot. I’m tempted to replace him with Smith (NYG), Sims-Walker, Santana Moss, or Lee Evans. Should I replace Torain with one of these guys? If so, which one.? My other receivers are Boldin and Steve Johnson, and my backs are Mendy and Foster.

No problem. I’d go with Big Ben against NE’s soft pass D.

I’d pick up Smith. Torain is recovering from hammy and CP’s return appears to be around the corner. Smith has a nice match-up this week and gives you good depth at WR.

Where do you see Nate Washington w the addition of Moss?

I think it helps him because Moss demands so much attention. I think the Titans will be able to run the ball better though so the bump Nate gets will probably be minimal.

Would you guys start Harvin, Knox, or Blair White at WR this week?

    Already starting Nicks, and Austin.

Also, McCoy or Bradshaw? McCoy could catch alot out of the backfield, but Bradshaw will get many carries probably being up early in the game – but does he get all the RZ looks?

    Expert advice?

I’m going with Harvin. He’s been a beast since Randy arrived, and carried on following his departure.

I have Bradshaw 7 and McCoy 8. It’s really a gut thing so I’d go with yours.

Bradshaw got two short TDs (2,4) last week. You would think Jacobs would get those carries, but he didn’t.

I am looking at my flex. I am starting nicks, and owens, but I have benson as my flex. I have desean on the bench. Should I play desean over benson or just go with what i have

I would go with DeSean. He’s been amazing with Vick.

I have Santonio, Dez, Bowe, Moss, and Nate Washington…..So far I am starting Bowe & Dez, but I don’t know who to start out of Holmes, Moss, & Washington….What do you think?

  21. LestersLegends
    November 13th, 2010 at 8:45 am #

Which Moss? If it’s Randy I’d go with him. If it’s Santana I’d go with Holmes.

I’m fighting for a playoff spot and need a little help choosing a WR2 and Flex option.

    Pick 2…
    B. Edwards, M. Crabtree, N. Burleson, Donald Brown, Shonn Greene.

ESPN projections would recommend Butterfinger Edwards & D. Brown… but something feels wrong. Any ideas?

  23. LestersLegends
    November 13th, 2010 at 12:42 pm #

I like Crabtree and Greene personally. I think the Jets lighten the load for LT and get Greene more heavily involved against Cleveland. I like Crabtree to do well against the Rams.

Who were you thinking about using?

  24. Drew
    November 13th, 2010 at 4:25 pm #

Thanks for the insight. I’ve been going back and forth between
Donald Brown and Crabtree as a flex play. I like Greene too, but after the last game, I’m afraid Sanchez may be throwing a lot in this one, so I still like B. Edwards, in a Cleveland homecoming.

    I also like N. Burleson… he’s avg’d 15 ppg in a ppr league since getting healthy. But I’ll probably go B. Edwards and M. Crabtree… I need a homerun… I already started Michael Turner this week. Ouch.

Yeah, that stinks, but it’s better to know on Thursday than on Sunday when you can’t gamble as much to make up for it.

It was Randy and thanks that was kinda what I was thinkin, I’m just worried that Holmes has finally found his groove.

Randy is more of a risk, but he usually delivers when he’s motivated. Santonio is the safer play.

I need to pick between Randy Moss and Miles Austin for my last WR spot. I started Mason thursday night and I am also gonna start Tamme although he is still questionable. So is Moss gonna show up today because with Kitna Austin has struggled?

  29. LestersLegends
    November 14th, 2010 at 11:22 am #

Austin is probably safer but moss could give you more big plays. i’d lean towards austin personally
