Inside the numbers:

  • I guess I got carried away with Vincent Jackson’s ranking last week. He should be a solid WR1 this week though.
  • Greg Jennings scored in his first meeting with Chicago, but has been a beast in his past ten games averaging 98.5 yards with nine touchdowns.
  • Andre Johnson appears to be done for the year. You’ll have to look elsewhere. Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter should step up.
  • I wouldn’t be surprised if Ochocinco sat out again. Jerome Simpson and Andre Caldwell are decent plays despite a tough matchup.
  • With everything wrapped up, I can’t trust Deion Branch or Wes Welker.
  • ***Update *** Philly can’t improve their playoff positioning, which makes me worried about DeSean Jackson’s usage.
  • ***Update***  With Hakeem Nicks out, Derek Hagan returns to the rankings.
  • ***Update*** Marques Colston had his knee scoped. Robert Meachem should be the main benefactor.

Mr. Lester I would just like to thank you for taking me to the championship round! You gave great advice when you told me to start Charles instead of Chris johnson. It turned out he had a monster game. I need advice again this week. With Desean Jackson probably resting and Calvin Johnson questionable, should I pick up Manningham, Lloyd or Britt? Im leaning on Lloyd and Britt because with Nicks out, the Redskins will most likely force double coverage on Manningham like they did a few weeks ago. Also, should I pick up Ryan Mathews and start him over Chris Johnson? It may seem like a silly question but Johnson is facing an improved *gasp!* Colts run defense. Thanks for your input!

It’s this week. We’re noobs so we didn’t really think about people resting on Week 17 when we set the schedule :(

Missed the second part of the e-mail Moki. I’m with you with Lloyd and britt. I do like Chris Johnson this week against Indy. Mathews is a good start this week, but is a bigger risk. CJ2K had 179 total yards and a score against Indy a few weeks ago.
