Here’s my Week 6 wide receiver rankings. Keep in mind that Arizona, Buffalo, Carolina, and Cincinnati are on bye.

.

1. Miles Austin @ Minnesota
2. Hakeem Nicks vs. Detroit
3. Reggie Wayne @ Washington
4. Malcom Floyd @ St. Louis
5. Andre Johnson vs. Kansas City
6. Randy Moss vs. Dallas
7. Roddy White @ Philadelphia
8. Anquan Boldin @ New England
9. Brandon Marshall @ Green Bay
10. DeSean Jackson vs. Atlanta
11.  Steve Smith (NYG) vs. Detroit
12. Wes Welker vs. Baltimore
13. Mike Wallace vs. Cleveland
14. Donald Driver vs. Miami
15. Calvin Johnson @ New York Giants
16.  Brandon Lloyd vs. New York Jets
17. Marques Colston @ Tampa Bay
18. Greg Jennings vs. Miami
19. Austin Collie @ Washington
20. Hines Ward  vs. Cleveland
21. Dwayne Bowe @ Houston
22. Percy Harvin vs. Dallas
23. Jeremy Maclin vs. Atlanta
24. Kenny Britt vs. Jacksonville
25. Danny Amendola @ San Diego
26. Michael Crabtree vs. Oakland

28. Kevin Walter vs. Kansas City
29. Mike Williams vs. New Orleans
30. Lance Moore @ Tampa Bay
31. Johnny Knox vs. Seattle
32. Mike Sims-Walker vs. Tennessee
33. Roy Williams @ Minnesota
34. Braylon Edwards @ Denver
35. Santonio Holmes@ Denver
36. Davone Bess @ Green Bay
37. Pierre Garcon @ Washington
38. Eddie Royal vs. New York Jets
39. Dez Bryant @ Minnesota
40. Mario Manningham vs. Detroit
.
Inside the numbers:

  • Miles Austin had one stinker (20 yards vs. Houston), but has at least 142 yards in his other three games.
  • Hakeem Nicks already has six TDs. Detroit has allowed eight passing TDs. This looks like a recipe for success.
  • Malcom Floyd has clearly become Philip Rivers go-to receiver.
  • Randy Moss has 10 career TDs and a 100+ ypg average in six games against Dallas. He continually punishes Jerry Jones for passing on him in the draft.
  • Jacksonville has allowed a league high 12 passing TDs. Kenny Britt has scored in three straight weeks.
  • Oakland has allowed 10 passing TDs. There is a good chance Michael Crabtree scores for the second straight week.

How does Branch going to the Patriots factor into these rankings?

I don’t think he’ll be a big factor initially. I think Welker, Tate, and Hernandez will pick up the snack initially.

Wow, no love for Mike Williams from Tampa Bay huh???

I need to trade a WR for a QB. I’ll need to give up either Andre Johnson or Percy Harvin. In my league you get 1pt per 10 return yards and 1pt per 10 receiving yards. Which one should I trade?

Clark – Good call. He should be in there. I’ll make the adjustment.
Toby – Depends on what QB you’re getting. I’d rather have AJ going forward, but he’ll net a better QB.

I have my choice of Romo, Brady or Roethlisberger. Who do you think I should take?

Good choices. I’m a Pats fan so I’m a little biased, but my guess is Romo is the best fantasy option of the three going forward.

You should remove Naanee and replace him with Garcon, who is in line to have a big week in my opinion. Also, there’s no way I would start Bowe over Amendola this week, so I would switch those two as well. Just my thoughts … I like the site.

Thanks. Those are your rankings, which are cool, but I’ll keep those ones how I have it. I am down on Garcon who has went for a favorite of Peyton’s during the playoff run last year to fourth in line behind Wayne, Clark, and Collie.

Amendola has been great, but it will be interesting to see how he plays as the top option when a team has a full week to prepare for him as it. Losing Clayton will hurt.

I hear you about Bowe, but to me it’s like a now or never time against the league’s worst pass defense.

    @Lester

I understand … if I’m right this week, maybe you’ll listen to me next time :) Thanks again for the rankings!

Actually I think Naanee needs to come off the list because of his hamstring. Garcon is as good as any to replace him. You get the credit for the adjustment.

Would you play Dwayne Bowe or Brandon Tate? Ricky Williams or BenJarvus Green-Ellis?

Alright, alright … I win on Garcon, but you win bigger on Bowe …

You got Garcon in my top 40, which he wasn’t before, so you rock Grant.
