2011 Fantasy Football QB Rankings – Week 9

Nov 1, 2011

.
Here’s the LestersLegends’ Week 9 2011 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
.
1. Aaron Rogers @ San Diego: The Chargers are solid against the pass, but Brady was able to dominate them. Rodgers will be golden…and green.

2. Drew Brees vs. Tampa Bay:  After an embarrassing loss to the Rams Brees will be motivated against a Bucs team giving up 267.7 passing ypg.

3. Tom Brady vs. New York Giants:  It wasn’t an embarrassing loss given his opponent (Pittsburgh), but Brady will do his part to avoid a losing streak.

4. Michael Vick vs. Chicago:  The Eagles’ ground game is making life easier for Vick. He won’t offer the same luxury to the Bears.

5. Eli Manning @ New England: Patriots are giving up 323.1 passing ypg. They have serious secondary issues.

6. Philip Rivers vs. Green Bay:  Should be a shootout with the Packers who are giving up 288.9 passing ypg.

7. Tony Romo vs. Seattle:  Has to do a better job getting his receivers involved.  Seattle doesn’t have the manpower that Philly does so it shouldn’t be a problem.

8.  Ben Roethlisberger vs. Baltimore:  Ravens are tough but Ben is averaging 287.8 ypg. He went for 280 in the opener against Baltimore.

9. Matt Ryan @ Indianapolis:  The Colts have allowed 258.9 ypg and a league high 15 passing touchdowns. Julio Jones should be back for Ryan.

10. Josh Freeman @ New Orleans:  The Saints have allowed 13 passing TDs. They will be fired up, but Tampa is coming off a bye.

11.  Matt Schaub vs. Cleveland:  Is this the week Andre Johnson returns?

12. Mark Sanchez @ Buffalo:  The Bills are giving up 265.9 passing ypg. Should look good coming out of the bye.

13. Tim Tebow @ Oakland:  Tebow played horribly, but still manage a decent scoring effort thanks to his feet.

14. Matt Cassel vs. Miami: Fins have allowed 270.7 ypg and 14 passing touchdowns.

15.  Joe Flacco @ Pittsburgh:  Threw three TDs in the first match-up. Hasn’t been able to string together two strong games in a row all year.

16. Jay Cutler @ Philadelphia:  The Eagles have improved defensively and will make life tough for Cutler, especially on the road.

17. Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. New York Jets:  The Jets have allowed just four passing touchdowns.

18.  Tarvaris Jackson @ Dallas:  Big showing last week (323 yards) in less than three quarters of work. Cowboys are a middle-of-the-road pass defense.

19. Andy Dalton @ Tennessee:  Isn’t spectacular but he’s steady.

20.  Carson Palmer vs. Denver:  He flopped in his debut but with the bye week to get up to speed he should be better this time.

Playing Cassell over Fitz for first place I hope your list is right.

Tough going up the Jets defense, especially when they are coming off a bye. Now that Baldwin showed us that he can complement Bowe, and Battle has solidified the RB position, KC is a solid offensive option again. If your gut says play Fitz, I wouldn’t argue much. He has been great this year. He has been a little quiet since the Pats game though.
