2011 Fantasy Football: Week 9 Sleepers

.
Sometimes you need a fantasy gem to be successful. Here is a list of LestersLegends’ under the radar players that could possibly pull out a win for you in Week 9.
.
Matt Cassel, QB, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami: Cassel isn’t an elite QB by any stretch, but he is capable of a big game like in Week 5 when he tossed four touchdown passes. The last time he faced Miami he threw for 415 yards with the Patriots. I don’t expect anywhere near that kind of performance, but he could help you sneak out a W in a pinch.
.
Tarvaris Jackson, QB, Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys: T-Jack returned from a painful pectoral injury to throw for 323 yards against the Bengals after coming in during the second quarter. The Bengals are a top ten pass defense so the performance was that much more impressive. The Cowboys are a middle-of-the-road pass defense so another solid day from Jackson isn’t out of the question.
.
Chris Ogbonnaya, RB, Cleveland Browns @ Houston: Houston is tough against the run, but if Peyton Hillis is busy trying to reverse the Madden Curse, Ogbonnaya will get a ton of touches. He has five catches each of his past two games which should allow him to at least put up a solid showing if he’s the starter or if Hillis goes down.
.
Jonathan Baldwin, WR, Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami: We knew that Baldwin had the goods. We just didn’t know when he would show it. He made a pretty touchdown grab en route to five catches for 82 yards on MNF. He has the size and athleticism to make a mockery of Miami’s 27th ranked pass defense (270.7 ypg allowed).
.
Michael Crabtree, WR, San Francisco 49ers @ Washington: Crabtree scored his first touchdown of the season last week and is averaging 5.3 catches for 58.8 yards over the past four games.
.
Heath Miller, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens: Miller continues to play a bigger part of the offense. He caught seven passes for 85 yards last week giving him 11 grabs for 144 yards and a score over the past two games.
.
Atlanta Falcons Defense @ Indianapolis: The Colts are just dreadful. Some of the elite defenses (Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New York Jets) have tough match-ups while Detroit is on bye. The Falcons haven’t looked great, but they could make life uneasy for the Suck for Luck Colts.

Ouch.
Although, Falcon’s defense brings up something that has always bothered me about DEF scoring in Yahoo (and maybe other FF services, I’m not sure) … the Colt’s only score was a defensive TD, yet Atlanta is charged with giving up 1 point on defense for the extra point. Are teams really expected to block extra points, like ever? You’d think Yahoo would set this up to only count the extra points that are a result of an offensive touchdown. But I digress …

Totally agree. E-mail me your paypal address. Stinkin’ Ben had the yards but not the second TD.

Big Ben was about 2 yards away from a rushing TD. He played very well, makes me feel good about owning him going forward.
Don’t worry about it just yet … I’m sure we’ll come up with some other things to bet on through the season. We can settle up come January.

Yeah, I was hoping he would get in there
P. It was nearly a 20 point game. Not bad considering the Ravens. Another tough draw next week but you have to like the way he looks. That young stable of WRs is fearless.

Love having Antonio Brown too
I’m guessing you saw Wallace take the TD away from him … that was weird.

Couldn’t have made Wallace opponents happy. Steelers should have won but they could get third down stops
