2011 Fantasy Football WR Rankings – Week 12
Nov 23, 2011

.
Here’s the LestersLegends’ Week 12 2011 fantasy football wide receiver rankings.
.
1. Calvin Johnson vs. Green Bay: Megatron hasn’t scored since the Lions’ bye week. Good chance to do so against the Packers who have allowed 18 passing scores and 289.3 ypg.
2. Mike Wallace @ Kansas City: Averaging 92.2 ypg with six TDs. The Chiefs have been susceptible to passing scores.
3. Greg Jennings @ Detroit: Totally laid an egg last week. Look for a bounce back.
4. Roddy White vs. Minnesota: Look like the Roddy of old last week and the Vikings’ secondary should allow that to continue.
5. Dez Bryant vs. Miami: Romo and Dez are clicking. He’s scored in back-to-back weeks.
6. Victor Cruz @ New Orleans: He’s become the Giants’ top threat. Averaging 100.5 yards and 0.5 TDs in past four games.
7. Larry Fitzgerald @ St. Louis: How good could he be with an actual quarterback. Has four TDs in past three games.

8. Jordy Nelson @ Detroit: Averaging 97.0 yards with five TDs in his past three games.
9. Steve Smith @ Indianapolis: Quiet the past two weeks but should torment the Colts.
10. DeSean Jackson vs. New England: Hard to rely on him, but he looked good last week and has a dream match-up.
11. Laurent Robinson vs. Miami: Has five TDs in the past four games.
12. Hakeem Nicks @ New Orleans: Should be very active in what looks like a shootout.
13. Wes Welker @ Philadelphia: Tough match-up against the Eagles.
14. Vincent Jackson vs. Denver: He’s so inconsistent but has the potential for a huge game. Champ Bailey limits his value.
9. Steve Smith @ Indianapolis: Quiet the past two weeks but should torment the Colts.
10. DeSean Jackson vs. New England: Hard to rely on him, but he looked good last week and has a dream match-up.

13. Wes Welker @ Philadelphia: Tough match-up against the Eagles.
14. Vincent Jackson vs. Denver: He’s so inconsistent but has the potential for a huge game. Champ Bailey limits his value.
15. Anquan Boldin vs. San Francisco: Quiet the past two games but I expect he’ll come up big on Thanksgiving against the Niners.
16. Percy Harvin @ Atlanta: The Falcons struggle with the pass (254.1 ypg) and the Vikings will rely on Percy more with Adrian Peterson out or limited.
17. Antonio Brown @ Kansas City: Averaging 91.0 yards the past four games.
18. Marques Colston vs. New York Giants: Averaging 83.3 yards and 0.5 TDs in his past six games.

20. Dwayne Bowe @ Pittsburgh: Tough draw without Matt Cassel.
21. Brandon Marshall @ Dallas: Letdown last week but should bounce back.
22. Andre Johnson @ Jacksonville: If he plays you have to use him, but he is risky.
23. Jeremy Maclin vs. New England: Solid play if his injuries (shoulder, hamstring) allow him to do so.
16. Percy Harvin @ Atlanta: The Falcons struggle with the pass (254.1 ypg) and the Vikings will rely on Percy more with Adrian Peterson out or limited.

23. Jeremy Maclin vs. New England: Solid play if his injuries (shoulder, hamstring) allow him to do so.
24. Julio Jones @ Minnesota: Assuming his hamstring is healthy he’s a strong play against the Vikings.
25. A.J. Green vs. Cleveland: Missed last week but has scored in four of his past five games. Good if he can go.
26. South Mike Williams @ Tennessee: Averaging 61.8 ypg in his past four games. At least six catches in four of his past five games.
27. Nate Washington vs. Tampa Bay: Stormed back with nine catches for 115 yards and two scores last week. Bucs are giving up 265.4 ypg.
28. Torrey Smith vs. San Francisco: Averaging 72.8 ypg in his past six games.
29. Plaxico Burress vs. Buffalo: Averaging 51.8 yards with four scores in his past four games.
30. Jerome Simpson vs. Cleveland: Averaging 77.5 yards in his past four games.
31. Sidney Rice vs. Washington: Averaging 76.0 ypg at home this year.
32. Santonio Holmes vs. Buffalo: He’s been disappointing but he scores in their first match-up.
33. Jabar Gaffney @ Seattle: Plays better with Rex Grossman under center.
34. Deion Branch @ Philadelphia: With Welker and the TEs to worry about he should have opportunities.
35. Michael Crabtree @ Baltimore: Coming off a seven catch, 120 yard game.
36. Early Doucet @ St. Louis: He doesn’t put up big numbers but he’s pretty steady.
37. Mario Manningham @ New Orleans: Forgotten last week but should bounce back.
38. Damian Williams vs. Tampa Bay: Big letdown last week but had been solid in his three prior games.
39. Harry Douglas vs. Minnesota: Should contribute even if Julio Jones plass.
40. Eric Decker @ San Diego: Didn’t catch a pass last week but scored in his three previous games. He’s a risk with Tebow in there but makes plays.

Need to fill one WR and one flex. I have garcon, manningham, doucet and ogbonnaya. Who do u go with?

Argh … part of me is hoping Julio is out this week so I don’t have to make a decision. I’ve got Fitz, Andre, Robinson, and Brown in the lineup right now, with Julio, Burress, and Bennett on the bench. Does that seem right?

@Mark – I’m thinking Manningham and Ogbonnaya.
@Grant – I think you are making the right call whether or not Julio plays.

I also have an option to get lance moore (but I would have to drop either garcon or doucet). Think its a good move?

Moore is pretty inconsistent. Just two games with over 50 yards. He scored in those games. One score in another game so six of nine games he’s had 5 or fewer fantasy points. Probably would just hold what you have.

I’ve battled WR injuries all year, and so hence why I keep a large amount of WRs on my roster. Being in a 12 team league has hurt me in trying to get good WR depth.
I have Andre Johnson, Laurent Robinson, Denarius Moore, Mario Manningham, Nate Washington, and Eric Decker.
Which 3 would you play?

Heath (my older son’s name) – I like AJ and LoRo for sure. I like Nate next but could see Manningham in there as well.

@Heath – I think you’ve got some pretty good depth there going forward. I like AJ, Robinson, and Washington. If Locker starts, Washington might see 12 targets. Manningham appears to be the number 3 in NY now, and as Hicks gets more healthy (and Cruz continues to show off his talent), I think Manningham will slide into mediocrity.

Lester,
I’ve already locked up a playoff bye but I’m battling for a scoring title. I have A. Johnson, Hakeem Nicks, and Laurent Robinson to choose from. Which two would you go with?
Thanks!

I’m a little conservative so I’d wait a week on AJ.

Can someone tell me if Welker will return to early season form anytime soon? I’m barely holding on to a playoff spot and 2 and 2 for the past four weeks due, in large part, to his non existence. Contemplating starting Cruz and Robinson over Lloyd and Wess. Do I stand a chance?
LestersLegends

The good news is you have great WR depth. The bad news is I don’t think Welker will return to that form anytime soon. I have both Cruz and LoRo ranked higher than Lloyd and Wes. Cruz for sure. He’s been an absolute force.

No Nate Burleson??!! This guy is inconsistent but the last 4 games he is an easy WR2
LestersLegends
November 24th, 2011 at 9:57 am #
He’s averaging 42.5 yards and 0.25 TDs in his past four games. Hardly WR2 numbers. He’s been solid the past two weeks but you never know when Titus Young is going to be the secondary option.

Under what circumstances do you start Riley Cooper in place of AJ this week? I have a really good feeling about Cooper, like 8/120/1 good, if Maclin doesn’t start. 12 targets last week (to Jackson’s 8), now they play the worst secondary in football, and are likely to be playing from behind. Thoughts?
LestersLegends
November 25th, 2011 at 8:26 pm #
It’s a roll of the dice. I don’t think I’d do it. If AJ aggravates his injury you’d be on to something. If not you’d just be on something. It’s a calculated risk. I just wouldn’t take it.

So i have D. Moore on my bench, but DHP just became a free agent. should i drop Moore for DHP? only because i wouldnt need if right away if at all…

excuse me..Darrius Heyward-Bey….. not dhp
LestersLegends

DHB is probably more likely to play this week at this point. Neither are consistent options. I’d probably look elsewhere.
