2011-12 Wild Card Round Fantasy WR Rankings

Jan 3, 2012

.
Here is the Lester’s Legends fantasy football wide receiver rankings for the Wild Card Round.
.
1.  Calvin Johnson @ New Orleans Saints:  Megatron showed why he’s the best receiver in the league closing the season out with 560 yards to finish with an average of 100+ ypg and a TD.
.
2.  Victor Cruz vs. Atlanta Falcons:  In a game that features four incredible WRs, Cruz led them all with 1536 yards. He’s nearly unstoppable.
.
3.  Marques Colston vs. Detroit Lions:  Colston is averaging 105.5 yards with five TDs in his past four games.
.
4.  Julio Jones @ New York Giants:  The Giants have issues in their secondary. Julio is red hot averaging 98.3 yards with six TDs in his past four games.
.
5.  Roddy White @ New York Giants:  Roddy topped 1100 yards for the fourth straight year as he finished with 1296 yards and eight TDs. He has 120+ yards in four of his past seven games.
.
6.   Hakeem Nicks vs. Atlanta Falcons:  Nicks finished just short of 1200 yards. He averaged 84.5 yards and 0.5 TDs in his past six games.
.
7.  Antonio Brown @ Denver:  It’s not that I think Brown is better than Wallace, he just takes advantage of his opportunities. Wallace draws the #1 corners (Champ Bailey in this case) and gets safety help. Brown is ideal at picking his spots. He could also add a score in the return game.
.
8.  Mike Wallace @ Denver:  Wallace’s stinker (one catch, 11 yards) last week cost him a 1200 yard season. He’s a big time playmaker though and should deliver against Denver.
.
9.  A.J. Green @ Houston:  The Texans have a good pass defense and Green is a rookie, but he’s a special player. Look for him to bounce back from two slow weeks (25 yards, 26 yards).
.
10.  Andre Johnson vs. Cincinnati:  Johnson finally returned to action last week. He’s a bit of a risk given his hamstring issues, but you know what he’s capable of when he’s on.
.
11.  Demaryius Thomas vs. Pittsburgh:  He’s Tebow’s top target, but the way Tebow has stumbled of late, he’s a low-end option this week.
.
12.  Titus Young @ New Orleans:  Has four TDs in his past four games. The Lions are going to have to pass early and often to keep up.
.
13.  Nate Burleson @ New Orleans:  Has 27 catches in his past five games for a 65.4 ypg average.
.
14.  Jerome Simpson @ Houston:  Has ten catches in his past two games. He also has the ability to flip over a linebacker.
.
15.  Devery Henderson vs. Detroit Lions:  Henderson and Robert Meachem are more capable of turning in a dud than a big game, but the potential is there because of Brees..
