2012 Get ‘em or Don’t Sweat ‘em – Week 13

Nov 26, 2012

.
There were some unusual heroes this week. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.
.
Chad Henne, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
Henne threw for 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He did throw one pick. He has some decent weapons and is worth a look as a backup fantasy quarterback.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Colin Kaepernick, QB, San Francisco 49ers
Kaepernick threw for 231 yards and a touchdown. He also ran for 27 yards and a score. He’s a solid fantasy QB2.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Michael Bush, RB, Chicago Bears
Bush ran for 60 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. With Matt Forte banged up, Bush looks like a must-add.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Charles Clay, RB, Miami Dolphins
Clay caught all six of his targets for 84 yards and a touchdown. Look elsewhere.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Justin Forsett, RB, Houston Texans
Forsett ran for 87 yards and a touchdown on five carries. He should have been ruled down. He should not be on  your fantasy team.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Knowshon Moreno, RB, Denver Broncos
It was Moreno that took over for Willis McGahee. He ran for 85 yards on 20 carries. He added four catches for 26 yards. Grab him immediately.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Atlanta Falcons
Rodgers had 10 carries for 49 yards and a touchdown. He added two receptions for 30 yards. He’s worth stashing as Michael Turner continues to struggle.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Shane Vereen, RB, New England Patriots
Vereen had 42 yards on 10 carries. He added two receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown. He has three touchdowns in the past four games, but with only about 10 touches per game he is a risky option.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Beanie Wells, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Beanie ran for 48 yards and two touchdowns. He’s worth grabbing if available.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Ryan Broyles, WR, Detroit Lions
Broyles took advantage of Titus Young’s absence to the tune of six catches on 12 targets for 126 yards. If Young remains in the doghouse, Broyles is a decent option.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Julian Edelman, WR, New England Patriots
Edelman caught two passes on three targets for 64 yards and a touchdown. He also returned a fumble to the house. I just don’t know that I trust him the way Bill Belichick mixes things up.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Chris Givens, WR, St. Louis Rams
Givens caught five of six targets for 115 yards and a touchdown. He has big play potential, but is a risky option.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Aldrick Robinson, WR, Washington Redskins
Robinson had a 68-yard touchdown. It was his only catch. Look elsewhere.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Mohamed Sanu, WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Sanu caught five of nine targets for 29 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That gives him four scores in the past three games. He’s a risk because he doesn’t provide much yardage.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Rob Housler, TE, Arizona Cardinals
Housler caught eight of 11 targets for 82 yards. He’s hardly a fantasy option.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
