2012 Get ‘em or Don’t Sweat ‘em – Week 7

Oct 15, 2012

.
There were some unusual heroes on Sunday. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.
.
Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks
Wilson threw for 293 yards and three touchdowns. He added 17 on the ground. He was facing the Patriots’ horrible pass defense so this isn’t the norm.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
LeGarrette Blount, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Blount ran for 58 yards on seven carries and scored for the second straight week. He’s probably worth a look for bench depth.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Montario Hardesty, RB, Cleveland Browns
He ran for 56 yards and a score and added nine receiving yards. If T-Rich misses any time he is worth grabbing.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Felix Jones, RB, Dallas Cowboys
Jones had 92 yards and a score on 18 carries. He also had 13 receiving yards. With Murray banged up, he’s a must add.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Braylon Edwards, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Edwards caught two passes for 21 yards and a score. Look elsewhere.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Chris Givens, WR, St. Louis Rams
Given caught three passes for 85 yards. He’s worth a look in deep leagues, but for most leagues I’d wait and see.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Josh Gordon, WR, Cleveland Browns
He caught three passes for 99 yards and a touchdown. It’s his third score in three weeks.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Derek Hagan, WR, Oakland Raiders
Hagan caught all four of his targets for 85 yards. Nice game, but don’t add him.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Michael Jenkins, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Jenkins caught six passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. They played Washington’s weak secondary. Look elsewhere.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Randy Moss, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Moss caught two passes for 75 yards, but doesn’t get enough looks.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
.
Mike Williams,  WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Williams caught four passes for 113 yards and a score. It’s his third touchdown on the year and second straight 100+ yard game.
Ruling:  Get ‘em.
.
Tom Crabtree, TE, Green Bay Packers
Crabtree caught two passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. He’s not a fantasy option though.
Ruling:  Don’t Sweat ‘em.
