2012 Fantasy Football DEF Rankings – Week 4

With an exciting third week under our belts, here are the LestersLegends 2012 Week 4 fantasy football team defense rankings.

1. Baltimore Ravens
After facing Cincinnati, Philly, and New England the Ravens catch a break and get to face Cleveland. The Browns have been sacked eight times and have thrown six picks. The Browns are averaging 19.0 point per game.

2. Houston Texans
The Texans rank third with 14.0 ppg allowed and second with 255.7 ypg allowed. They take on Tennessee, who is scoring 22.3 ppg.

3. Arizona Cardinals
After beating the Seahawks, Patriots, and Eagles you have to say Arizona is for real. They take on Miami, who could be without Reggie Bush. The Cards, who have won ten of twelve dating back to last year, are giving up just 13.3 ppg. Miami is scoring 21.7.

4. Seattle Seahawks
Who would have guessed the NFC West would have so many stout defenses? Seattle is giving up an NFL low 13.0 ppg and just 272.3 ypg. They face the Rams, who are scoring 20.0 ppg and have been sacked twelve times.

5. San Francisco 49ers
The Niners will go into the Jets’ game mad after losing to the Vikings. Without a reliable running game, they will make life tough for Sanchez and company.

6. Dallas Cowboys
Their offense isn’t humming, but the defense is. They lead the league with 250.0 ypg allowed and are tied for seventh with 18.0 ppg allowed. The Bears have allowed 11 sacks. Clay Matthews gave them fits a couple of weeks ago. It’s DeMarcus Ware’s turn.

7. Chicago Bears
The Bears rank sixth with 279.0 ypg allowed and fifth with 16.7 ypg allowed. Dallas is tied for last in the league with 15.7 ppg.

8. New York Giants
Guess who else is tied for last with 15.7 ppg? The Eagles, this week’s foe for the G-Men. They have allowed nine sacks and tossed six picks.

9. Atlanta Falcons
Their offense makes teams one-dimensional. Their defense is fourth with 16.0 ppg allowed. Carolina is scoring just 17.3 ppg.

10. Miami Dolphins
Arizona is 3-0, but they are winning ugly. They have scored just 22.3 ppg and are gaining just 263.3 ypg. The Dolphins have allowed 22.0 ppg.

11. Denver Broncos
They are playing at home, which should help their cause. The Raiders are scoring just 20.3 ppg.

12. Detroit Lions
The Lions gave up a ton of points to Tennessee last week, but they should rebound against the Vikings at home.

13. St. Louis Rams
They have been surprisingly better on defense (26.0 ppg allowed). Seattle is scoring just 19.0 ppg.
.
14. Cincinnati Bengals
They have yielded a ton of points (34.0 ppg), but they should slow it down against Jacksonville, who is scoring 17.3 ppg.

15. New York Jets
Losing Revis is tough. The Niners have allowed ten sacks. Perhaps the Jets can actually generate a pass rush.

Looks like I have an opportunity to drop the Falcons D and grab Seattle. This is a great move this week and moving forward for the rest of the year right?
