2012 Fantasy Football QB Rankings – Week 14

Dec 3, 2012

.
With an exciting 13th week under our belts, here are the LestersLegends 2012 Week 14 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
.
1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
Rodgers has been quiet for the past three weeks, averaging just 247 yards and 1.3 touchdowns and 1.3 turnovers (three interceptions, one fumble). He faces the Detroit Lions at home.
.
2. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
In his first meeting with the Oakland Raiders, Peyton threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns. Peyton has three touchdown passes in seven of his past nine games.
.
3. Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins
RG3 brings his dynamic game into a matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. They rank in the bottom third in both pass defense and run defense.
.
4. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees threw five interceptions and has his touchdown streak snapped last week. Look for him to get back on track against the New York Giants.
.
5. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Stafford is averaging 311.8 yards per game. He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in three of his past four games. He faces the Packers.
.
6. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts
Luck is averaging 325 yards in his past five games with nine passing scores and two rushing scores. The Tennessee Titans have allowed 257.5 yards per game and 24 passing scores.
.
7. Eli Manning, New York Giants
Eli squares off against the Saints. They have allowed 286.7 yards per game and 23 passing scores.
.
8. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Brady didn’t have to do much last week against the Miami Dolphins. I expect that he’ll need to do more heavy lifting this week. The Houston Texans have been struggling against the pass of late.
.
9. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
Cam has thrown for five touchdown and ran for two more in his past two games without turning the ball over. Atlanta has a stingy defense, though he had three touchdowns (two passing, one running) in the first meeting.
.
10. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
Ryan missed a golden opportunity by turning in a dud last week against the Saints. He threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns the first time he faced the Panthers.
.
11. Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Freeman has thrown multiple touchdown passes in seven of his past eight games. He should continue his success against the sinking Philadelphia Eagles. They have allowed 23 passing scores.
.
12. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Romo has three touchdown passes in each of his past two games. Dez Bryant has been a force. This week will be more of a challenge against the Cincinnati Bengals.
.
13. Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals
Dalton scored both with his arm and his feet last week, giving him four straight multiple touchdown games. He has 12 combined touchdowns during that span. He is worthy of a QB1 spot.
.
14. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Schaub should also be considered a QB1 this week against the Patriots. They have allowed 279.9 yards per game and 22 passing scores. Schaub is averaging 349.7 yards with eight touchdowns in his past three games.
.
15. Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears
Cutler had a quiet 188 yard, one touchdown, one interception game in his first meeting with the Minnesota Vikings. I think Brandon Marshall and Cutler will be more active in this one.

Thanks I was thinking same thing but washington in flex maybe … Should be a shoot out and I cant get myers thought I’d get him on the waiver wire but didn’t happen . decker targets have gone down .. How come we both don’t wanna play sporles I feel like I might regret it. And I’m in ppr with 10 point bonus ig you hut 100 yards thats why I like washington a lil. No lance Moore I saw you referred him a couple times over ppl I saw one where you said Moore over sporles

you said you didn’t want a lot of saints.

I didn’t choose sproles or moore. You didn’t say it’s PPR. I’d probably go Sproles over Turner then.

You also didn’t mention the yardage bonus. With that in play, I can see plugging nate in over decker.

I dont but ill go with the match up thats best ive been playin 3 saints a week and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt and i dont wanna take the chance with them doing basin the playoffs cause odds Re in drew sucks his wr will too. I know you didn’t choose Moore in the question I asked you but the Travis guy asked u lance Moore or sporles and u picked Moore, wondering if that applies to my situation as well

I’d pick Sproles as your RB2 over Turner in PPR. I’d go decker or nate over Turner for the flex.

this week is our playoff round 1.
see top for my team (team A)
i just replaced R bush with Bryce brown.
if i add lance moore.tate,s. rice or mike williams as my receivers and replace any of them with James jones…
would that make any difference or do u still see team b the winner?
i would like to come back next week and ask u for more advice…
the four letter sports website has us equal 124-124 pts

Thank you what about te like I said I couldn’t get myers. Tamme is available but that be 3 broncos so idk pettigrew might eat but bemett might to cause they were moving the rock when they involved him more . Who would you go with at te

Sorry I missed that J. I like Pettigrew. With Broyles out and Titus a knucklehead he should see heavy looks. Good PPR option.
Nico – With Bryce Brown and lance Moore over JJ you could be sitting pretty. That combo of Peyton, Foster, Marshall, and Graham is tough though.

Hi Lester! Romo or Eli? I hate sitting one of these Rb’s Rice, Lynch, Charles, Spiller but one has to sit. Which one would you sit? Who would you start Nicks bad Knee & is questionable or G. Jennings? I get the pts for the whole team at the Te position. Which combo would you start Colts Allen/Fleener who get the Titans who give up the 3rd most pts to the te or the Giants Te’s Bennett/Pascoe who play the Saints who give up the 7th most to the Te? Both good matchups. Thanks

Ben – I like Eli. I’d sit Spiller. I’d see what Nicks looks like on Sunday. I’d go with him if he’s a go. You should have probably traded one of those backs for a WR.
I like the Colts a little more.

That was my thought on Nicks too! Wait and see! We only play 2 wr’s and my 4 were Marshall, Harvin who I dropped for Jennings, Nicks and Maclin. I have no trust in Maclin with Vick or without which is now Foles. So my automatic start is Marshall and I’m going to wait on the Nicks knee situation before starting Jennings.

Gotcha. Shoot I think we discussed this before. Pretty sick squad. Agree with your assessment.

Yeah we have discussed this before. But check this out. I have the most overall pts in my league by far but I’m tied for last in wins and losses. I have the most pts against and its almost comical! Every week I play the hottest team & I usually score the 2nd highest overall!!! killing me! Go figure? Ohh well we go by the most pts anyways so I can still win the whole darn thing.

what is going on LL,am I crazy to want to drop jordy nelson?I AM N PLAYOFFS AND ITS ONLY THREE GAMES AND HE IS OUT ONE ALREADY.I have Rand V Jackson as my one and two and just picked up Golden tate and chris givens. My qb is Matty ice but he is killing me lately and am thinking about playing Andy Dalton instead. My rb’s are Trent and Ridley. My tight ends are tony g and O daniels.I was thinking of dropping Jordy and picking up V Ballard. My quandary is always the flex spot, usually rb or receiver.Would u drop any of these recievers {including Jordy} and pick up Ballard? How would you play my lineup this week?
