2012 Fantasy Football Start/Sit Week 10

Nov 7, 2012

.
Here’s a look at LestersLegends sit and start advice as you set your lineups for the tenth week of the 2012 NFL season.
.
Quarterbacks
Start:
Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Rivers bounced back from a dreadful performance to throw for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He should be even better this week against Tampa Bay. The Bucs are allowing a league-worst 321.1 passing yards per game.
.
Sit:
Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears
cutler and Brandon Marshall have it going on, but I wouldn’t trust Cutler against Houston. They can bring the pressure and force the gunslinger into mistakes.
.
Running Backs
Start:
Michael Turner, Atlanta Falcons
Turner recorded his second 100-yard game last week against Dallas. This week he faces the Saints, who have allowed a league-worst 176.5 rushing yards per game at 5.3 yards per carry.
.
Sit:
Steven Jackson, St. Louis Rams
Daryl Richardson has been the more effective back in St. Louis and is basically splitting carries 50/50 with Jackson. That mix won’t work against San Francisco. The Niners are yielding just 87.4 rushing yards per game.
.
Wide Receivers
Start:
Malcom Floyd, San Diego Chargers
Floyd scored just his second touchdown of the year, but he’s averaging 63.6 yards per game. Tampa Bay has allowed 13 passing touchdowns and has the aforementioned league-worst past defense.
.
Sit:
New York Jets Receivers
The Seahawks have allowed 206.8 passing yards and 1.0 passing touchdowns per game. They have faced Tony Romo, Aaron Rodgers, and Tom Brady at home and only yield three passing touchdowns to that trio.
.
Tight Ends
Start:
Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions
Pettigrew has 23 catches for 236 yards and a touchdown in his last three meetings with Minnesota. The Vikings have allowed four tight end touchdowns this year.
.
Sit:
Jacob Tamme, Denver Broncos
Tamme is averaging just 26.0 yards the past three games. Joel Dreessen is getting the tight end looks.
.
Defenses
Start:
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers did a good job containing Eli Manning last week. This week they get to face Kansas City. The Chiefs averaging 13.0 points during their five-game losing streak. Pittsburgh leads the league in total defense (262.6 yards allowed per game) and ranks ninth in scoring defense (20.5 points allowed per game).
.
Sit:
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons have a solid defense, but the Saints have a potent offense. I’d look elsewhere this week.
