2012 Fantasy Football TE Rankings – Week 2

Sep 11, 2012

.
With an exciting first week under our belts, here are the LestersLegends 2012 Week 2 fantasy football tight end rankings.
.
1. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots
Ho hum, another touchdown for Gronk to go along with six catches for 60 yards. Should feast on Arizona.
.
2. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints
Mr. 1-A had six catches for 85 yards and a score. Faces Carolina.
.
3. Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers
Had 43 yards and a score. Defensive nightmare for Detroit this week.
.
4. Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots
Six catches for 59 yards and a score. The Patriots have this thing down.
.
5. Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Had four catches for 43 yards. Should do well against Tennessee.
.
6. Jermichael Finley, Green Bay Packers
Had seven catches for 47 yards and a score. Has four TDs against the Bears in seven meetings.
.
7. Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys
Nobody can ever question his toughness. With extra rest he should be good to go against Seattle.
.
8. Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons
Still getting it done. Had 53 yards and a TD last week.
.
9. Jacob Tamme, Denver Broncos
Had 43 yards and a score. Peyton likes his old target. Squares off with Atlanta.
.
10. Owen Daniels, Houston Texans
Led all TEs with 87 yards last week. Takes on Jacksonville.
.
11. Coby Fleener, Indianapolis Colts
Luck’s security blanket had 82 yards last week on six catches. Should get his number called a lot against the Vikings.
.
12. Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions
Caught five passes for 77 yards. If the Lions struggle to run on the Niners he could see a lot of short passes to move the chains.
.
13. Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings
Has a good size, speed combo. Ponder liked going to him. Should be involved against the Colts.
.
14.  Brent Celek, Philadelphia Eagles
If Maclin is limited, the Eagles could rely more on Celek against Baltimore.
.
15. Jared Cook, Tennessee Titans
Had four catches for 65 yards. Presents a mismatch problem for San Diego.

Since Fred Davis isn’t on the list, I take it you don’t like him this week. I have Fred Davis and M.Benett, I could also score either Heath Miller or Fleener from free agency. It’s an auction league so who’s your pick for long term? Thanks for the help!

Long term it’s between davis and fleener. I think Davis could be solid. There are just so many decent TEs now.

Who do you think has more long term upside, Fleener or Rudolph?

I think Fleener. I like Luck better.

I saw you didn’t like Davis as well. I have him on my non-ppr league and am just not sure on what to do. Do I go shopping? Available is: Dennis Pitta, Marcedes Lewis, Martellus Bennet, Scott Chandler, Kevin Boss and many other so-so’s. Thanks.

I like him better than that crew by quite a bit.

I figured but for how well RG3 it seems like Davis was invincible to him. Had to ask. Thanks Ryan.
