2012 Fantasy Football WR Rankings – Week 7

Oct 15, 2012

With an exciting sixth week under our belts, here are the LestersLegends 2012 Week 7 fantasy football wide receiver rankings.
1. A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals
With 628 yards and six touchdowns he has been a monster. Green has a touchdown in five straight games. He scored in both meetings with Pittsburgh last year.
2. Victor Cruz, New York Giants
The Redskins have allowed the most passing yards in the league. Cruz has done his touchdown salsa five times in the last three games.
3. Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions
Megatron had 211 yards and a TD in two meetings with Chicago last year. He’s averaging 111.6 ypg so far this year. The Bears have their work cut out for them.
4. Brandon Marshall, Chicago Bears
Marshall is averaging 141 yards and TD the past two weeks. The Lions should be nervous.
5. Percy Harvin, Minnesota Vikings
He has 603 total offensive yards and has scored via the pass, the run, and the return. He’s deadly and will be a handful for Arizona.
6. Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals
Fitz is averaging 90.8 yards with three TDs in the past four games. He should exploit the Vikings’ secondary.
7. Marques Colston, New Orleans Saints
Colston has 284 yards and four TDs in the past two games. Look for that barrage to continue against Tampa Bay, who has allowed 312.2 ypg.
8. Wes Welker, New England Patriots
Welker is on fire, averaging ten catches for 128.3 yards and 0.5 TDs over the past four games. He’s taking on the Jets who he has had considerable success against even when Revis was playing.
9. Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers
Jordy bounced back with a ridiculous three touchdown game against Houston. St. Louis will struggle to contain him.
10. Mike Wallace, Pittsburgh Steelers
Bounced back to score for the fourth time in five games.
11. Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts
He’ll be facing Joe Haden, but that shouldn’t scare off Wayne owners.
12. Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys
Am I assuming too much to think Dez can build on his two TD game? Maybe, but he’s averaging nine catches for 87.3 yards over the past three games. He takes on Carolina.
13. Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jackson is averaging 80.8 yards and a touchdown in his last four games. He should be busy against the Saints, who have allowed 283.2 ypg.
14. Torrey Smith, Baltimore Ravens
Smith scored last week, but his yardage has left plenty to be desired the past few weeks, but has four TDs in the past four games. Tough draw against Houston, but they were exposed last week by Rodgers.
15. Miles Austin, Dallas Cowboys
He has scored in three of the five games. Solid option against Carolina.
16. James Jones, Green Bay Packers
The yardage isn’t great, but he has a pair of touchdowns in three straight games.
17. Andre Johnson, Houston Texans
He has been more name than numbers this year, averaging 59.7 ypg with two TDs. Given his pedigree though you know he can bust out at any time. Plus, Baltimore’s defense isn’t what it once was and the way their offense is playing it could be more of a track meet than a dog fight.
18. Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers
Turned in a dud against Tennessee, but he’s been too consistent to count out against the Bengals.
19. Denarius Moore, Oakland Raiders
Moore had a nice game against Atlanta and has averaged 71.8 yard and 0.5 TDs this year. Solid option against Jacksonville, who is allowing 261.0 ypg.
20. Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers
Smith has been quiet the past two weeks, but he has the ability to explode against Dallas coming out of the bye.
21. Anquan Boldin, Baltimore Ravens
Boldin has averaged 103.7 yards the past three games. Faces Houston.
22. Hakeem Nicks, New York Giants
We’ll see how he feels later in the week, but if he’s good to go again, he should have a nice day against Washington.
23. Stevie Johnson, Buffalo Bills
Finally had a nice yardage day, topping 62 yards for the first time. He hasn’t scored since Week 3, but that could change against the Titans, who have allowed 13 passing scores.
24. Kenny Britt, Tennessee Titans
Britt didn’t have great game, but he scored. He should have a nice game against Buffalo.
25. Brandon Gibson, St. Louis Rams
Caught seven passes for 91 yards and has assumed the role of Bradford’s favorite target. Faces Green Bay.
26. Sidney Rice, Seattle Seahawks
Averaging 74 yards and 0.5 TDs in his past two games. Takes on the Niners.
27. Michael Crabtree, San Francisco 49ers
Has had a few rough weeks, but is still seeing plenty of looks. Should rebound somewhat against Seattle.
28. Brandon Lloyd, New England Patriots
He’s been a little hit or miss. Should have a decent showing against the Jets.
29. Josh Gordon, Cleveland Browns
Has averaged 90.5 and 1.5 TDs the past two games. Faces a Colts team that has allowed ten passing scores.
30. Mike Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Williams has had 110+ yards the past two games. The Bucs are going to have to air it out against the Saints.
31. Lance Moore, New Orleans Saints
Assuming he is healthy coming out of the bye, Moore will be a slot machine for Brees.
32. Kendall Wright, Tennessee Titans
He continues to see a ton of targets. He should be busy against Buffalo.
33. Mario Manningham, San Francisco 49ers
Manningham is starting to establish a bigger role. He has averaged 4.25 catches for 50.3 yards over the past four games. Takes on Seattle.
34. Randall Cobb, Green Bay Packers
Cobb has averaged 83.3 yards the past three games and should be active against St. Louis.
35. Jeremy Kerley, New York Jets
The Jets didn’t have to pass much last week, but this week will be different against New England. They can’t stop the pass so Kerley could end up having a decent day.
36. Domenik Hixon, New York Giants
Caught four passes for 78 yards even with Nicks returning. There will be yards to be had against the Redskins.
37. Andrew Hawkins, Cincinnati Bengals
He’s not a great option, but with 352 total yards he will at least be involved against Pittsburgh.
38. Santana Moss, Washington Redskins
He has been more active in recent weeks and will likely step up his game against the G-Men.
39. Golden Tate, Seattle Seahawks
He’s had some moments the past few weeks and is a decent plug-in play against the Niners.
40. Andre Roberts, Arizona Cardinals
He has slowed of late, but has four TDs on the year. If the Vikings put all their attention on Fitz, he could get loose.

Ok I have Roddy who is on a bye…Do I start Rice, Crabtree or Cobb in his place? We DO get points for return yards. 1 pt per 30 yards I believe.

I have Johnson and Wayne in my WR slots and Bryant in my flex. I have A. Morris and C. Johnson in my RB slots. I managed to snap up Felix Jones and I think he’ll have too good of a game to not fit him in. I was thinking maybe swap Wayne with Bryant and put Jones in the flex.. But I’m not sure. Thoughts?

So I am facing the only undefeated team in my league and really do not want to leave too many points on the bench. Was wondering who to start between:

    1. Kenny Britt vs. The Bills
    2. Denarius Moore vs. The Jags
    3. Steve Smith vs. The Cowboys
    4. Lance Moore vs. The Bucs

    1. D. Moore
    2. S. Smith
    3. Britt

Yeah me too (plus I’m a browns fan) which jet receiver gets the most targets and would 1 of them make a better flex play then randall cobb?

Thinking about starting Josh Gordon in flex & sitting Torrey Smith, not liking the match up of Houston at home coming off a loss. Thoughts?

i can’t bench smith for him. i would hate to lose with my stud on the bench. that said, it isn’t a terrible play.

I have a tough bye this week. With garcon’s injury, I figure that since all redskins wideouts are available in my league, 1 of them would be the best week 7 fill in. I just can’t decide who to pick up. (S.moss, hankerson or morgan)

I’d say Moss. He’s been the hottest lately

Do you think Nicks will see limited snaps this week, as he gets back to 100%? I’m not sure if I should start him or Leshoure in my flex (ppr)?

I would start Nicks. Great match-up, plus the ppr bonus.
