2013 Fantasy Football QB Rankings – NFL Week 10

Nov 5, 2013

.
With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2013 Week 10 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
.
1. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning is averaging an absurd 364.9 yards and 3.6 touchdowns per game. He’s on pace for 5,838 yards and 58 touchdowns. He is coming off a bye to face the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers have allowed 275.4 passing yards per game.
.
2. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees is averaging 334 yards 2.6 touchdowns per game. The New Orleans Saints face the Dallas Cowboys. The Boys have allowed 305.2 yards and 1.8 touchdowns per game.
.
3. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Philip Rivers is averaging 309.1 yards and 2.1 touchdowns per game. He’ll have to air it out to keep pace with the Denver Broncos. The Broncos are giving up 299.1 yards and 1.9 touchdowns per game.
.
4. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Matthew Stafford is averaging 327.1 yards and a pair of touchdowns per game. Nobody can stop Calvin Johnson. He’s the Chicago Bears’ problem this week.
.
5. Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins
Robert Griffin III is averaging 271.1 passing yards, 1.1 touchdowns and 32.1 rushing yards per game. He’s facing the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikes have allowed 291.1 yards and 2.3 touchdowns per game.
.
6. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Tony Romo is averaging 283.7 yards and 2.2 touchdowns per game. He’ll be in a shootout with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints are giving up 211.9 yards per game.
.
7. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
Cam Newton is averaging 225.1 passing yards, 1.6 passing touchdowns, 31.4 rushing yards and 0.5 rushing touchdowns. He’s got a tough test against the San Francisco 49ers, but he does enough with his feet to deliver a solid fantasy performance.
.
8. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson is averaging 205 passing yards, 1.7 passing touchdowns and 41.7 rushing yards per game. He’s facing the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons have allowed 248.6 yards and 2.1 touchdowns per game.
.
9. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts
Andrew Luck is averaging 230.6 yards, 1.6 touchdowns, 22.9 rushing yards and 0.4 rushing touchdowns per game. He has six TDs in his past two games. The Indianapolis Colts are facing the St. Louis Rams. The Rams are giving up 220.6 yards and 1.6 touchdowns per game.
.
10. Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles
Nick Foles threw seven touchdowns last week against the Oakland Raiders. Look for him to put up a good game against the Green Bay Packers.

Gotta love the confidence. They are a decent team when they get NFL caliber QB play.

Confidence? You mean Haden running his mouth giving them bulletin board material before the game? lol He’s lucky it worked out and I meant the Bengals not Pitt. in week 11. But yeah, there D was banshee vs. Flacco/Rice. Games started w/ Weeden 0-4. Campbell/Hoyer 4-1.

Need some advice. Got serious depth at rb, but need help in a 2qb league. Byes are done and leveon bell will be on my bench rest of the way. Qbs are ryan locker and cutler. Looking to do a bell/ryan deal for either: brady, rivers, romo, or stafford. Im definitely making the playoffs at this point and looking for a late championship push.

    Thanks

I like Stafford the best of the bunch. I don’t love trading Ryan and Bell for him though. What about one of the other two and Bell for brady, rivers, or romo?

You like Ryan moving forward over cutler? He’s looked pretty mediocre without any help outside.

I do. Roddy will be coming back. With Gonzo, Douglas and Rodgers I think he’ll be fine.

Do you think Dalton was exposed last week? You have Foles at #10, how far down is Dalton on your list?

Should i give up on Ray Rice? he’s been giving me horrible numbers! I lost week 9 by 2 points. c’mon haha.

So now that leaves me with – who should i start R.Rice @ CIN, C.Spiller @ PIT, or G.Bernard @BAL? What do u think? I know Rice is due for a blowout game, so should i take the gamble?

    Thanks

DoubleT – About 14. I’d put him behind the guys listed, Locker, Kap, and Eli

Gabe – I wouldn’t give up on Rice, but I’d start Spiller and Bernard over him

Ryan, I dropped Sproles and snagged Mike James off FA when the WW cleared this morning. Question…

RB’s- CJ Spiller @ Pitt, Le’Veon Bell home vs. Buff, and Mike James home vs. Miami on MNF. I have Kennan Allen at my Flex. He’s been money, and is in a nice matchup at home vs. Den. I can’t see sitting him in that game.

Which 2 RB’s should i start? They are graded out around the same on pretty much every site i’ve been on.

    I like Bell and Spiller.

Despite Buffalo being good vs. the run and Miami being garbage vs. the run? Alright brother, you’re the expert. All 5 guys at nfl.com have James rated highest, and on espn.com those 5 guys have him lowest lol. But they are all close. I’m guessing Spiller will have the least touches, yet he’s the most explosive of the three.

All are starting caliber choices. Fantasy pros has bell (12), Spiller (16) and James (14). Good problem to have.

Agree. But i hate making these close decisions more than Antonio Cromartie hates wearing condoms lol.

Spiller and Bell it is then. Why do i feel no matter who sits, they’ll go off? Been that way all year.

BTW My buddy in Cali says to sit Cam this week. He said his 9ers are gonna spank the Panthers, and that it won’t even be close. He predicted 30-10 as the final. Yikes. Unfortunately, i can’t sit him regardless. There is NO ONE on the WW worth anything.

    Gotta play Cam.

Blair interesting point you bring about Cam Newton. He is my starter but I also have Big Ben who plays the crummy Bills this weekend. Who is your friend and Ryan do you have input on Cam vs Ben?

  25. LestersLegends
    November 7th, 2013 at 1:48 pm #

    I have Cam ranked 7th.

  26. JC
    November 7th, 2013 at 2:08 pm #

Haha I know, figured that’d be your answer.. These projections have a tendency to mess with my head and Big Ben has a better projection so I was seeing if I could get you to elaborate. Does Blair have a book maker with inside information lol?

  27. LestersLegends
    November 7th, 2013 at 2:35 pm #

I don’t know what your scoring is, but I like to look at past stats rather than a projection. Cam is averaging 19.64 points per game in my scoring. Ben is at 15.01 (behind Christian Ponder of all people). In the last four weeks Cam (22.86) is even farther ahead (16.39). Ben has just one game over 20 pts. He has 14 turnovers.

    November 7th, 2013 at 2:40 pm #

Great point and analysis Ryan. In this particular league it is PPR scoring but the QB also gets a 1/2 point for every completion made. That is the only notable difference.

  29. LestersLegends
    November 7th, 2013 at 3:03 pm #

In that case it swings a little more to even. I do like Ben’s matchup.

  30. Ryan
    November 7th, 2013 at 3:04 pm #

Cutler or Locker this week given that Cutler is a full go with no restrictions?

  31. LestersLegends
    November 7th, 2013 at 3:28 pm #

I’d play it safe with Locker.

  32. JC
    November 7th, 2013 at 4:09 pm #

Interesting Ryan – still unsure if your saying play Cam or Big Ben? By no means am I trying to persuade you to give me an answer one way or the other. Sound like a coin flip, but if you had a gun to you head who are you playing?

    Thanks!

It’s tough when there are different scoring rules. I think Ben completes more passes. I’m sticking with Cam, but it’s a lot closer with that scoring rule

JC- lol no i don’t have a bookie friend in Anaheim. Just a rabid 9ers fan who thinks they are gonna roll Carolina. Easier said than done. Caroilina’s front seven is no joke. They held Wilson to just 7 freaking yards rushing. Seven. I can’t see Kaep doing alot with his legs. Hence i think it’s gonna be a close game. We’ll see.

Rolling Cam over Ben too BTW. No-brainer.

I have a hard decision to make by noon sunday. Since Rogers got hurt I dropped him and picked up Foles, to go along with my fantasy backup qb Philip Rivers. Both games offer great things for both qb’s this week. I am an Eagles fan and I’m trying not to let it sway me. If I start Rivers at qb I also have Keenum Allen at WR, so double the points if they td together. But I also have Ertz at TE in case I start Foles. WHAT DO I DO??? WHAT… DO… I… DO…? Thanks for any help, suggestions, opinions u share!

I have Rivers as my #3 QB this week. He’s been great this year and has a good matchup. He’s likely playing from behind which means lots of passing. Denver has allowed a ton of yard this year.
