2013 Fantasy Football QB Rankings – NFL Week 13

Nov 26, 2013

With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2013 Week 13 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
1. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning is averaging 338.4 passing yards and 3.3 touchdowns per game. He’s facing the Kansas City Chiefs again. Last time Peyton threw for 323 yards and a touchdown. Look for him to bounce back after a poor performance against the New England Patriots.
2. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Matthew Stafford is averaging 317.7 yards and 2.2 touchdowns per game. Fantasy owners should be thankful for his performance against the Green Bay Packers. The Pack have allowed 244.2 yards and 1.7 touchdowns per game.
3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees is averaging 331.5 yards and 2.5 touchdowns per game. He has a tough matchup against the Seattle Seahawks coming off a bye, but Brees and company had a mini-bye week because they played on Thursday. He’ll be ready.
4. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Tom Brady is averaging 357.3 yards and 2.7 touchdowns in his past three games. He should continue to roll against the struggling Houston Texans.
5. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Tony Romo is averaging 265 yards and 2.1 touchdowns per game. He should make the Oakland Raiders look like turkeys. The Raiders are giving up 258.1 yards and 1.9 touchdowns per game.
6. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
Cam Newton is averaging 213.9 passing yards, 1.5 passing touchdowns, 34.4 rushing yards and 0.4 rushing touchdowns. He should light up the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs have allowed 244.4 yards and a pair of touchdowns per game.
7. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Russell Wilson is averaging 214.7 passing yards, 1.7 passing touchdowns and 37.2 rushing yards. He has multiple touchdown passes in his past five games. He’s facing the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have allowed just 198 yards and a touchdown per game.
8. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Philip Rivers is averaging 307.4 yards and a pair of touchdowns per game. He has a tough matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he just passed a big test with 392 yards and three touchdowns against the Chiefs.
9. Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles
Nick Foles has 16 touchdowns without an interception. He should have a solid game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cards have allowed 235.8 yards and 1.7 touchdowns.
10. Josh McCown, Chicago Bears
Josh McCown continues to fill in admirably for Jay Cutler. He should roll on the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikes have allowed 281.7 yards and 2.2 touchdowns per game.

Alright Ry, i got big points last week in a win. Currently in 3rd place. Last week before the playoffs begin, so a win, and I’m in.
    QB-Cam vs. TB
    RB-Andre Brown @ WASH
    RB-Le’Veon @ BALT
    WR-BMarsh @ MINN
    WR-Dez vs. OAK
    TE-Olsen vs. TB

My question comes at FLEX. PPR. I have your boy Vereen in now @ HOU. 18pts last week and its gonna be hard to sit him. Keenan Allen went crazy on my bench last week (24pts). He’s home vs. CINCY. I’d like to play both Vereen and Allen but i can’t unless i SIT Le’Veon at BALT, and start Vereen at RB, and Flex Keenan. Bell is projected out the lowest of the three due to the tough Ravens run D (ranked 2nd and at home). I guess what i’m asking is which of the three should i sit between Bell, Allen, and Vereen? LOL Then there’s the whole ‘Spiller is on my bench and watch him go off against Atlanta’ thing as well.

Gimme some good advice as usual this week. My opponent has freaking Payton and Megatron among other good plays. Hope all is well, and Happy Turkey Day in advance.

Thanks. Happy Turkey Day to you too. Good spot to be in. I think I’d sit Bell.

Ok. I’m not liking either of my D’s this week either. Saints@SEA and INDY home vs. TENN. Te Colts look hideous as of late I was thinkingf snagging DALL home vs. OAK off the ww. I know there D is not very good, but neither are the Raiders. Thoughts?

    Happy Turkey Day!

Hey Ry….Question 1-Would Powell be worth dropping Rainey for? I have a feeling Ivory is gonna be a no-go this weekend vs. MIA. Question 2 is would Powell be better play than Keenan as my flex should he become the starter this week? If it’s no, i think i should jut keep Rainey, no?

Are you going to use Powell if you add him? I’d stick with Allen, which means I’m sticking with Rainey unless the move is defensive and you’re keeping your opponent from getting Powell.

I figured since MIA is bad vs stopping the run, NY is at home, and Geno is horrendous, that NY would run alot making Powell a good play if he gets the nod. I doubt my opponent makes a play for Rainey. He has Gio and Bush starting. It’s not likely i start or even flex Rainey/Powell over Le’Veon, Andre Brown, CJ, or Vereen anyways.

I see you have Rivers ranked above McCown. I’m thinking about starting McCown, I’m playing against Brandon Marshall and I’m thinking starting McCown would help neutralize the risk of a big day by Marshall. What is your recommendation between Rivers and McCown.

Not a bad plan. They are in same tier.

R Bread…Happy Turkey Day again. After picking up DALL’s D/ST this morning, and having seriously thought about what the score might be, i am having buyer’s remorse lol. You still think they’ll be ok today? I’m thinking like 30-17. What do you think the score will be? nfl network guys have Dallas a solid top 5-10 play today, while espn guys…not so much lol.

PS I soooooo wanna play Spiller this week. Just a hunch. More than likely i’ll roll Kennan. Even though in the past 6 weeks he’s had 3 great games and laid 3 giant eggs. Would you say that Le’Veon is the safest between him and Kennan, and say Spiller? He’s gonna get 20 touches and possible goalline work. He’s been fairly steady for 6 weeks.

Spiller is capable of a HUGE game, but he’s more risky. Depends if you feel like gambling. I think Dallas will be good. Your score seems good. They seem to play well on Thanksgiving.

Yo Ry…So the guy i played this week had Peyton (45.5pts), Bush (32.2pts), Tate (33.4pts), Megatron (25.1pts), VD (18.2pts), Boldin (18.8pts), and SF’s D (11pts). With his kicker he hit 200pts PPR lol. Fortunate for me i scored 170 in my loss. I snagged the last and final spot in the playoffs due to team points. Phew. BTW i was getting pounded so bad that i rolled Le’Veon on Turkey night(28.2pts), and went for the home run, seeing as how i was down so big, and pulled Allen for Spiller (28.2pts). Even though Keenan was solid (19.6pts) and Vereen got what i expected (19.5pts), it still paid off with BOTH being the right move lol. The sun shines on a dog’s @$$ every now and then. I so hate fantasy….Looking forward to tomorrow’s rankings being up. Cya there brother.

That’s a brutal lineup to face. As long as Jimmy Graham doesn’t go Josh Gordon on the bit tonight, I’ll be in the playoffs.

My best friend, and fellow huge Browns fan, has Gordon. Dude is absolutely going crazy. Probably top 10 WR pick next year. Unfortunately one more failed drug test and he’s gone for a year…lotta luggage. Glad to hear you’re in the playoffs as well. Doubt Graham has a huge huge night. If i were SEA i would just double him or roll the safety his way, and make someone else beat me. You should be fine.

PS Cam @ NO next Sunday night. Should be electric.
