2013 Fantasy Football QB Rankings – NFL Week 14

Dec 3, 2013

With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2013 Week 14 fantasy football quarterback rankings.
We’re in the fantasy football playoffs. It’s time to make some money, just like you would with the top 5 sites for sports betting.
1. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Peyton Manning is averaging 343.8 yards and 3.4 touchdowns per game, putting him on pace for 5500 yards and 55 touchdowns. He should continue his assault on the record books against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have allowed just eight touchdown passes. I can see that number increasing by 50 percent.
2. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Matthew Stafford is averaging 318.8 yards and 2.3 touchdowns per game. He should put up huge numbers against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have allowed a league-high 296.8 passing yards per game.
3. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Tom Brady is averaging 360.8 yards and 2.5 touchdowns in his past four games. He’s facing the Cleveland Browns. Joe Haden won’t be able to take away Brady’s top weapon, which should mean a big day for Brady. The Browns have allowed 1.8 passing touchdowns per game.
4. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
Drew Brees has a tough matchup against the Carolina Panthers, but he is matchup proof. Brees can put up big numbers against anyone.
5. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
Cam Newton is averaging 218 passing yards, 1.6 passing touchdowns, 37.3 rushing yards and 0.5 rushing touchdowns per game. He’ll have to dial up his game against the New Orleans Saints.
6. Nick Foles, Philadelphia Eagles
Nick Foles has 19 touchdowns without a single interception. In his past four games he’s averaging 292.3 yards and 3.3 touchdowns. He should carve up the Detroit Lions. The Lions have allowed 262.3 yards and 1.8 touchdowns per game.
7. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Tony Romo is averaging 261.7 yards and two touchdowns per game. He should have no problem against a struggling Chicago Bears team, but DeMarco Murray could shoulder a heavier load since the Bears’ run defense is so bad.
8. Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens
Joe Flacco is averaging 249.4 yards and 1.3 touchdowns per game, but should look like an All-Pro against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikes have allowed 287 yards and 2.2 touchdowns per game.
9. Josh McCown, Chicago Bears
Josh McCown has topped 350 yards in each of his past two games. With Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery forming the best 1-2 punch in the game, he should have a big game against the Dallas Cowboys. The Boys have allowed 294.9 yards and 1.8 touchdowns per game.
10. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
Matt Ryan is averaging 289.3 yards and 1.6 touchdowns per game. Roddy White finally returned to form last week. He should turn in a solid performance against the Green Bay Packers. The Pack have allowed 250.5 yards and 1.8 touchdowns per game.

Playoff time! Congrats to everyone who got in, and good luck!

    QB-Cam @ NO
    RB-Le’Veon Bell vs. MIA
    RB-Andre Brown @ SD
    WR-BMarsh vs. DALL
    WR-Dez @ CHI
    TE-Olsen @ NO
F- Vereen vs. CLE, Keenan vs. NYG, or CJSpiller @ TB? Who should i start at flex Ryan? PPR league as you know.

D/ST- Saints at home vs. CAR? I think i might have to stream a D, but there’s slim pickings. The Saints getting pounded last night probably does’nt bode well for Cam this week. I assume the Saints win that game at home this sunday night, but you never know. Saints D a decent play this week?

I’d be a little nervous going with Saints D. Good, but tough choices at flex. I think I’d lean Keenan.

Was leaning Allen as well. I’ll have to stream a D then.

Buffalo is’nt available. All the D’s are dicerolls. I have Saints home vs. CAR who are projected out at more points than anyone available, and Dallas lol. After ww clears i’ll throw a few D’s at you and tell me what you think. I need Cam to show up at NO this week in a hostile environment and put up some points. He was a great pick for me seeing as how i got him in the 6th round lol. He was like the 9th QB taken. He’s 5th in points as of now.

Yikes, I don’t know. The good thing is there isn’t many really good d matchups on paper.

fantasypos has me starting Vereen over Allen in a ppr. Though it’s close, 54% to 46%.

Another thing is the possibilty of Le’Veon being a late scratch b4 kickoff sunday. Then i would be forced to play both. Although it’s gonna be tough sitting CJ regardless of whatever situation occurs.

Need help on my lineup. Disheartening to see Russell Wilson outside the top ten after his MNF performance!!

    PPR League

QB – Russell Wilson or Ben Roethlisberger
    WR – Keenan Allen
    WR – Wes Welker
    RB – Marshawn Lynch
    RB – Reggie Bush
    TE – Jimmy Graham
FLEX – Gio Bernard, Julius Thomas, Nate Burleson, Doug Baldwin, or Rueben Randle
    K – Dan Bailey
DEF – St. Louis or Arizona

So my opponent pulled JCameron for Heath Miller and pulled Rashad Jennings for Montee Ball this morning. Smokescreen? Or is he getting ‘too cute’? Gotta be a smokescreen i would think.

He may be worried about Jennings’ concussion.

Hi – Case Keenum or Andrew Luck? Zac Stacy – Vereen _ Lynch – Andre Brown – Ray rice. Need to pick 2.
Fitz – Garcon – Julian and Decker – pick 2.
So after picking 2 Rb’s and 2 Wr’s who is your Flex pick?
Last one – KC or Carolina D?
    Thanks in advance.

you should eliminate the no-brainers like lunch and brown. you need wrs, flex and D. Didn’t get to QB in time. Sorry about that. KC D, Fitz, Decker, vereen

Saw that. As a Gordon owner, I am happy.

lol i bet you are. idk if i would expect crazy numbers vs. Talib though, but i did’nt expect him to go nuclear vs. Ike either.

On a side note, i know you are leaning Allen over Vereen and CJ, but why do i feel that Vereen has the best chance at scorng a TD? He had one last week, and should have had 2, if not for getting hosed on the call.

I like them all. Vereen could do that. If Ridley plays, maybe he gets out of the doghouse.

Ry….gameday….still leaning Keenan? Help me make up my damn mind! lol

Ha. I think so. It’s so close. Looks like Ridley will play so I’d stay that way

lol I’m down 128.2-125. He has McCown left, and i have Dez and BMarsh. BTW I started Vereen vs. my Browns (38pts!) lol I just had a feeling and am i glad i was right. Guessing with Gronk out his value in the passing game is’nt going away. Keenan was a nice play as well with like 23 but CJ….not so much (7). The Saints D turned out to be a nice play as well last night.

My Browns came to play vs. your Pats. Garbage interference call to set up the winning score imo. PS Flash Gordon is an absolute beast. Best 3 game totals in nfl history, besting Megatron.

Wasn’t enough to overcome my lack of RBs.

Sorry to hear that bro. Even if i win this week, the undeafted 13-0 no.1 seed awaits me. They have Brees, Moreno, Gore, Antonio, Torrey, Colsten, JGraham, SEA D, and Prater as their starters normally. #yikes.

Odds i win tonight? Down 3pts. He has McCown. I have Dez and BMarsh. 50-50?

Haha. I think you’ll squeak by. As for me, I was working on a three-peat so I guess it was time to let someone else to win. Ha.

Wow. Impressive. This is my first year not playing in 2 leagues. The one that disbanded i was in for 6 yrs. This other one i’ve been in for 4 yrs. All the same people every year, all older guys like myself (I’m 46). I have never NOT made the playoffs in any league, but at the same time, i have never WON it all either. Weird statline for me. I told the ole lady if i win just ONCE, i would ‘retire’ on top lmao. She just does’nt know that i had my fingers rossed behind my back when i promised her lol. We are actually going out to watch the game tonight (much to her chagrin). Probably start pre-partying here with a nice Octoberfest beer shortly.

Oh yeah. I’ve been pretty lucky the past couple of years. I think you need that to win. Hopefully you’re done being the bridesmaid this year.

Josh McCown just put up 50 effing points on me and blew the doors off my 2 top 10 WR’s head to head. I just wanna say thanks for your advice throughout the year. I am in the state of shock because i CAN NOT BELIEVE that a guy who was coaching high school football 6 weeks ago just beat DEz and BMarsh head to head by 20 points!!! #unreal thanks Ry i’ll see you next year bro. good luck
