There were some unheralded heroes this week. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters
.
Get ‘em
Jay Ajayi, RB, Miami Dolphins – 45 total yards, but lost a fumble. Could be worth an add if Arian Foster misses time.
Matt Asiata, RB, Minnesota Vikings – Had 25 total yards. Could see a lot of work if Adrian Peterson misses time.
Kenny Britt, WR, St, Louis Rams – Six catches, 94 yards. Four for 67 last week.
Victor Cruz, WR, New York Giants – Four catches, 91 yards. 34 yards and a score last week.
Quincy Enunwa, WR, New York Jets – 13 catches for 146 yards and a TD in two games.
Vance McDonald, TE, San Francisco 49ers – 75-yard TD. Scored in both games.
Jerick McKinnon, RB, Minnesota Vikings – He hasn’t done much to date, but if Adrian Peterson misses time, he could see more touches.
Dennis Pitta, TE, Baltimore Ravens – Nine catches, 102 yards. TE2 consideration.
Jacob Tamme, TE, Atlanta Falcons – 5 catches, 75 yards, TD. 6 catches for 51 yards last week.
Clive Walford, TE, Oakland Raiders – Six catches, 50 yards, TD.
Fozzy Whittaker, RB, Carolina Panthers – 131 total yards. Add if Jonathon Stewart misses time.
Tyrell Williams, WR, San Diego Chargers – Three catches, 61 yards, TD. 71 yards last week.
.
Don’t Sweat ‘em
Danny Amendola, WR, New England Patriots – 50 yards, 2 TDs. Never a consistent option.
Cole Beasley, WR, Dallas Cowboys – Five catches, 75 yards. Worth consideration in PPR leagues.
Tyler Boyd, WR, Cincinnati Bengals – Six catches, 78 yards.
Jaron Brown, WR, Arizona Cardinals – Two catches, 78 yards, TD.
Sammie Coates, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers – 2 catches, 97 yards.
Jamison Crowder, WR, Washington Redskins – Six catches for 39 yards, TD.
Kenyan Drake, RB, Miami Dolphins – 18 total yards, TD. Maybe worth an add if Arian Foster misses time. Ajayi may get more looks though.
Devin Funchesz, WR, Carolina Panthers – 2 catches, 19 yards, TD.
Marquise Goodwin, WR, Buffalo Bills – 112 yards in two games, 84 on one catch. Did not catch a ball Week 1.
Corey Grant, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars – 15-yard TD.
Xavier Grimble, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers – Two catches, 26 yards, TD.
Andre Holmes, WR, Oakland Raiders – Six-yard TD.
Austin Hooper, TE, Atlanta Falcons – Three catches, 84 yards.
Jesse James, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers – Three catches, 29 yards, TD.
Chris Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals – 54 yards, TD.
Marcedes Lewis, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars – 2 catches for 17 yards, TD.
Greg Salas, WR, Buffalo Bills – 89 yards in two games, 71 on one catch. Did not catch a ball Week 1.
Torrey Smith, WR, San Francisco 49ers – 3 catches, 55 yards, TD.
Robert Turbin, RB, Indianapolis Colts – 10 yards, TD.

If you could only get Matt Asiata or Mckinnon, who is the better ooption? Mckinnon is slated for more attempts, but Asiata is getting those goal line touches… im torn.

I’d lean McKinnon personally. Neither are likely fantasy starters.
