2016 Fantasy Football Top Five Rookie Quarterbacks

Carson Wentz Draft
1. Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams
Goff will get every opportunity to win the starting job for the Rams. New city, low expectations. Good opportunity to get Goff seasoning right away. His weapons are limited in the passing game, but he has a dynamic running back to take some pressure off of him.
3. Paxton Lynch, Denver Bronco
Lynch has the weapons, which would put him ahead of Goff if he won the starting gig. Unfortunately Mark Sanchez stands in his way. Lynch is the future in Denver. It’s a matter of when that future begins.
3. Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles
I would give Wentz the edge over Jared Goff because of the weapons (Jordan Matthews, Zach Ertz, Darren Sproles) at his disposal, but he’ll have to beat out Sam Bradford to make an impact in Year One. That said, Bradford has a checkered durability past.
4. Christian Hackenberg, New York Jets
Hackenberg will have to get a shot after starting behind Geno Smith and Bryce Petty. Neither are strong options, but Hackenberg isn’t one himself. That said, if he gets the opportunity he does have solid weapons to work with.
5. Cody Kessler, Cleveland Browns
Kessler isn’t expected to get a shot this year, but with RGIII at the helm, he could end up seeing action. Even if he gets in, he doesn’t have much to work with.
