2017 Get ‘em or Don’t Sweat ‘em – Week 3

Sep 18, 2017

Chris Carson
.
There were some unheralded heroes this week. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters
.
Get ‘em
Jaron Brown, WR, Arizona Cardinals – 4 of 11 targets for 73 yards. Should produce if John Brown remains out.
Chris Carson, RB, Seattle Seahawks – 100 total yards.
Phillip Dorsett, WR, New England Patriots – Caught all three targets for 68 yards.
Coby Fleener, TE, New Orleans Saints – 3 of 4 targets for 33 yards, TD. Scored in both games so far.
Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars – 6 of 7 targets for 82 yards and TD.
Chris Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals – 44 yards compared to 22 for Kerwynn Williams.
Jermaine Kearse, WR, New York Jets – 4 of 5 targets for 64 yards, 2 TDs.
Marqise Lee, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars – 7 of 12 targets for 76 yards.
J.J. Nelson, WR, Arizona Cardinals – 5 of 7 targets for 120 yards, TD. Should produce if John Brown remains out.
Samaje Perine, RB, Washington Redskins – 67 yards. Rob Kelley (ribs) could be out.
Mohamed Sanu, WR, Atlanta Falcons – 5 of 6 targets for 85 yards. 11 for 132 in two games.
Trevor Siemian, QB, Denver Broncos – 231 yards, 4 TDs, 14 rushing. Three total TDs in first game.
Benjamin Watson, TE, Baltimore Ravens – 8 catches for 91 yards. TE2 option.
Carson Wentz, QB, Philadelphia Eagles – 333 yards, 2 TDs, 55 yards rushing. Second 300-yards, 2-TD game.
.
Don’t Sweat ‘em
Brandon Coleman, WR, New Orleans Saints – 4 of 6 targets for 82 yards, TD.
Gerald Everett, TE, Los Angeles Rams – 3 catches for 95 yards.
D’Onta Foreman, RB, Houston Texans – 12 carries for 40 yards. Not worth an add, but with keeping an eye on if he keeps cutting into Lamar Miller’s workload.
Rashard Higgins, WR, Cleveland Browns – 7 of 11 targets for 95 yards.
David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns – 2 catches for 27 yards, TD.
Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Oakland Raiders – 63 total yards, TD.
Jalen Richard, RB, Oakland Raiders – 109 total yards and a TD. Doesn’t get enough touches.
Kenny Stills, WR, Miami Dolphins – 2 of 5 targets for 37 yards, TD.
Deonte Thompson, WR, Chicago Bears – 4 of 5 targets for 57 yards, TD. Unlikely to be a consistent contributor.
Deshaun Watson, QB, Houston Texans – 125 passing yards. Salvaged by 67 rushing yards and a touchdown. Just a desperation QB play at this point in one QB leagues.

I’d keep Garcon. I can see dropping Decker as Kearse gets more looks.

I wouldn’t pick up Kupp unless Watkins isn’t cleared for the next game.
