Sometimes because of match-ups you have to roll out less than ideal lineups, especially when your players are nicked up. That’s the nature of the beast. Sometimes you need a fantasy gem to be successful. Here are some of the under the radar players that could possibly pull out a win for you.
Bye Week: Arizona, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Los Angeles Rams, New York Giants, Tennessee
Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati Bengals – The Colts have allowed 300.7 passing yards per game.
Case Keenum, QB, Minnesota Vikings – The Browns have allowed 14 passing touchdowns already.
Josh McCown, QB, New York Jets – Likely playing from behind against Atlanta should mean a lot of pass attempts.
Philip Rivers, QB, San Diego Chargers – The Patriots have allowed 310.3 passing yards per game.
Tarik Cohen, RB, Chicago Bears – Cohen could get more use in the passing game trying to keep up with the Saints.
Mike Gillislee, RB, New England Patriots – When you think you have the Pats’ running game figured out, they switch it up. Could it be Gillislee’s turn against the Chargers’ 31st ranked run defense?
Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington, RB, Oakland Raiders – Marshawn Lynch’s suspension opens the door for a couple of desperation plays, though Buffalo has been stingy against the run.
Wendell Smallworld, RB, Philadelphia Eagles – The Niners have allowed 134.6 yards per game and 8 rushing scores.
Jonathan Stewart, RB, Carolina Panthers – Tampa ranks 17th with 113.7 ypg and 25th with 6 rushing scores allowed. Perhaps J-Stew turns in a usable game.
Marquise Goodwin, WR, San Francisco 49ers – The Eagles have allowed 272.9 passing yards per game.
Bennie Fowler, WR, Denver Broncos – Increased role with Sanders out. Chiefs have allowed 271.7 yards and 13 TDs already.
Torrey Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles – Disappeared, but the Niners have allowed 12 passing TDs. Perhaps he resurfaces against his old team.
Tyrell Williams, WR, San Diego Chargers – A dud most of the year, does he dial one in against the Pats.
Tyler Croft, TE, Cincinnati Bengals – The Colts have allowed 300.7 passing yards per game.
Austin Hooper, TE, Atlanta Falcons – The Jets have allowed 15 passing touchdowns.
O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Went off last week. Will he continue to produce?
Miami Dolphins Defense – Baltimore’s offense is struggling.
New Orleans Saints Defense – Will they force Chicago into mistakes?
