Detroit Piston forward Jonas Jerebko is off to a solid start, averaging 12.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.8 three-pointers per game.
.
He only made five of 13 shots last night (.385), but is still shooting 51.7 percent on the year. He has also knocked down an impressive 41.7 percent of his three pointers. His weakness has been free throw shooting as he has only made 60.0 percent from the charity stripe.
.
Jerebko had a solid rookie season two years ago averaging 9.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 0.4 blocks, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 three-pointers. He got better as the season went on, averaging 10+ points, 7+ rebounds, and 1.7 steals.
.
He missed all of last year with an Achilles injury.
.
So far that injury has not slowed Jonas down. He is averaging 33 minutes per game. As long as he is playing 30+ minutes, he should be able to help fantasy teams. He’s owned in 45.0 percent of Yahoo! and 31.8 percent of ESPN leagues.
.
Jonas is a solid option because of his positional flexibility. He qualifies at both forward positions so you can juggle him around in your lineup as you see fit. He gives you a decent bench option because he can back up both positions.
.
He also gives you decent three-point shooting for a big man, giving you a bonus if you use him in the PF position. He’s also a solid rebounder, which gives you a bonus if you use him at SF.
.
Jonas is not going to single-handedly win you a fantasy championship, but he’s a good glue guy if you have a roster spot for him.

the headline had me thinking…are the Jonas Brothers still around? or have they joined Hanson & the Partridge Family on a nostalgia tour?

Haha. That was intentional. Not sure where they are. Thankfully I only have boys so I wasn’t subjected to that or Big Time Rush. Mmm Bop.
