When Bad Teams Make for Good Fantasy Football Options

When looking to add players to bolster your roster or even decide which of your players to start, going with the best teams is not always the best option for fantasy performances.
.
Some of the best sports betting sites will give you the odds of each game. When betting you can look at the spread and over/under to help gauge which game will lend itself to having a quarterback playing from behind, which could lead to a lot of pass attempts, yards and touchdowns.
.
Case in point is Jacksonville Jaguar quarterback Blake Bortles’ performance on Thursday Night Football. The Jags dropped to 2-5 after getting dominated by the Tennessee Titans. It was 36-8 before a couple of late garbage touchdowns padded Bortles’ and his wide receivers stats.
337
It wasn’t a pretty performance, but if you look at the box score he finished with 337 yards and three touchdowns. He added 22 yards on the ground.
.
Not only did Bortles benefit from the late game surge, Allen Robinson turned another clunker into a respectable six catch, 70 yard performance. Allen Hurns garbage touchdown helped him turn in a seven catch, 98 yard, TD performance.
.
Fantasy fortunes were changed as the Jags kept pouring meaningless stats to close out the game.
.
Bortles performance was so bad that he is flying in Adam Dedeaux to help with his mechanics.
.
So it’s a difficult fantasy football landscape to navigate, but don’t get discouraged because your team is off to a rough start. There is always garbage time to get you back in the game.
