Carlos Beltran Out 12 Weeks

Jan 13, 2010

2010 isn’t starting any better for the Mets as they just can’t shake the injury bug. Carlos Beltran underwent microfracture surgery on his knee and he’ll be out for 3 months.

What’s worse is he had the surgery without the Mets’ blessing, which further complicates matters. This situation could get messy.

For you fantasy owners out there, you have to downgrade Beltran big time. He’ll likely miss a month or more of the season, and if the injury doesn’t heal properly it could be much longer. Thankfully drafts shouldn’t take place for a while so you’ll be able to monitor his progress.
