Cleveland Indians call up Matt LaPorta

Travis Hafner’s troublesome shoulder has led the Cleveland Indians to call up their #2 prospect, according to Baseball America, in Outfielder Matt LaPorta.  Matt is hitting .333 with 22 Runs, 5 HRs, and 14 RBI in 21 games for Triple-A Columbus. 

LaPorta will have to compete for At Bats with David Dellucci.

    The Indianscall up LaPorta then sit him on the bench…Becaus eWedge is an idiot!

    Yeah, he should be playing everyday so Triple-A is probably the best place for him.

    The Cleveland Indians should be always competitive enough to keep pace with the others. I really like them; they’ve always been my favourite teams in MLB.Just read about them here:
