This is another case of a player who probably would be mentioned more often as a possible HOFer if he played for a team like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, etc. during his career. For a player to be named his league’s MVP two times in a row shows how dominate he really was. I would hope that Hall of Fame voters take into account his character as a man off the field. He was a true role model for kids unlike many of today’s future HOFers or some that are in the Hall now. I hope that he is one day voted in because he deserves it.

i never new this guy had a 30-30 season. ill have to go back and look. as for the hall of fame i passed on him a long time ago. but you make a good case. all those awards and gold gloves mean a lot to me.

Not at all. Dale Murphy doesn’t deserve it at all. Here’s a stat I suggest you use. It’s a fantastic stat. OPS+ Please come back to me after reading it and tell me if Murph deserves it..
