I agree with most everything (including Shoeless Joe) What do you think of Danny Murtaugh? He represented the pirates for so long and everything I hear about him is good. Also won two world championships.

To me Harold Baines doesn’t get in cause he was never great. He was a solid hitter who played a long career. The difference with Edgar was he was an amazing hitter. Truly one of the best hitters of his generation.

If it’s borderline I say the guy who plays good defense gets in, but what about a guy who plays poor defense? Why does that not come up?

i have always been on the border with this one. the fact that he had 8 gold gloves puts him over the top. you cant go wrong with guys like this unlike Harold Baines and Edgar. I have nothing against the DH. i like it. but guys like dwight should be considered way before those others. this guy could play. i understand your view on the DH but Harold Baines wouldnt have lasted a decade without the DH. DH’s shouldnt get in. maybe frank thomas and thats it. dwight should be in but you and i know that what happen for a long ass time cause they dont know what they are doing. what do you suggest they do to get more of these guys in? waiting for the VC sucks
