If you’ve been following basketball closely, you’ll know the following players have been playing out of their minds.  If not, it’s time to play catch up.  Here are some of the hottest players in the league.

Guards
Jason Richardson
 - In his last seven games, Richardson is averaging 28.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals, and 3.57 three pointers.  He’s shooting 49.6% during that stretch.

Ben Gordon – Ben has also stepped up his game over the past seven games.  He’s averaging 26.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.9 steals during that stretch with three thirty point efforts.  He’s also shooting a solid 51% from the floor.  Getting rid of Scott Skiles is a blessing for Gordon owners.

Forwards
Gerald Wallace
 - J-Rich isn’t the only Bobcat that’s picked up his play.  Gerald Wallace has returned to form over the past seven games.  He averaged 25.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.9 steals, and 0.9 blocks during his hot streak.  I wonder if Jordan’s practice appearance has anything to do with the increased production.

David West – West hardly gets noticed because any of the attention that the Hornets get goes Chris Paul.  However, in his last nine games West has averaged 23.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.55 assists.  He’s shooting an outstanding 57.8% from the floor over that period.

Centers
Andrew Bynum
 - In the last month, Bynum has really elevated his game.  He’s been Robin to Kobe’s Batman.  He’s averaging 16.1 points, 10.7 rebounds. 2.0 assists, and 2.5 blocks in his last thirteen games.  He’s shooting an unreal 67.7% from the floor and has eight double-doubles.
