Here’s a look at the unheralded players who played well yesterday.

Aaron Rowand, San Francisco Giants
Rowand went 4 for 6 with a  run and 2 RBIs. He has minimal fantasy value.

Edgar Renteria, San Francisco Giants 
Renteria had the first five-hit game of the year going 5 for 5 with a run and 2 RBIs. He’s hitting .727 on the young season. He too offers minimal fantasy value.

Juan Uribe, San Francisco Giants
Uribe went 2 for 5 with 2 runs and an RBI. He’s hitting .417 on the year. Uribe has some fantasy value in part because of his position flexibility.

Orlando Cabrera, Cincinnati Reds
Cabrera went 2 for 4 with a HR and 3 RBIs.

Colby Rasmus, St. Louis Cardinals
Rasmus continued his strong start going 2 for 2 with a run, 2 walks, and a SB. He’s hitting .667 on the year.

Placido Polanco, Philadelphia Phillies
Polanco continued his strong start going 2 for 4 with 3 runs.  He’s hitting .556 on the year.

Josh Willingham, Washington Nationals
Willingham had a nice game going 3 for 4 with and RBI, a walk, and a SB. He’s hitting .571 on the year.

Vernon Wells, Toronto Blue Jays
Wells continues his impressive comeback with 2 more HRs. He scored 4 runs and had 3 RBIs.  He’s hitting .714.

Brian Tallet, Toronto Blue Jays
Tallet had a nice game going 6-2/3 innings for the win. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits with 6 Ks.

John Baker, Florida Marlins
Baker went 3 for 5 with an RBI.

Cody Ross, Florida Marlins
Ross went 4 for 5 with a run.

Luke Hochevar, Kansas City Royals
Hochevar got off to an excellent start despite his no-decision. He went 7-2/3 scoreless innings allowing five hits and one walk.

Scott Hairston, San Diego Padres
Hairston went 2 for 4 with a HR and 3 RBIs.

Kelly Johnson, Arizona Diamondbacks
Johnson went 3 for 3 with2 HRs, 3 RBIs, and a walk.

Carl Pavano, Minnesota Twins
Pavano picked up where he left off going 7 innings for the win. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits. Pavano had 6 Ks with no walks.
