Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.

Philadelphia Phillies @ Atlanta Braves
Carlos Ruiz went two for three. Cole Hamels (seven scoreless innings) was the story, but Derek Lowe continued to pitch well. He allowed two runs in seven innings. Although he’s 1-2, Lowe has a 1.45 ERA.

Kansas City Royals @ Detroit Tigers
Melky Cabrera went two for six. Jeff Francoeur went two for five with two runs and an RBI. Wilson Betemit went four for four with two runs, an RBI, and a stolen base. Alicides Escobar went two for five with an RBI. Jhonny Peralta went three for four with a home run.

Texas Rangers @ Baltimore Orioles
Derrek Lee went two for three. Derek Holland struck out six in six scoreless innings for the win. Jeremy Guthrie pitched well (six innings, one run), but took the loss.

Colorado Rockies @ Pittsburgh Pirates
Dexter Fowler went two for five with a run and a stolen base. Jose Lopez hit a three-run home run. Jonathan Herrera went one for two with three walks, two runs. and a stolen base. Lyle Overbay drove in a pair of runs. Matt Reynolds struck out two in a scoreless inning.

Washington Nationals @ New York Mets
Ian Desmond went two for six with an RBI and a stolen base. Ivan Rodriguez went two for four with two runs, a home run, and two RBI. Laynce Nix hit a three-run homer. Ike Davis went two for four with an RBI. Chris Young gave up one run  on one hit with five strikeouts in seven innings. Jason Marquis gave up three runs with nine strikeouts in six innings. Tyler Clippard struck out three in two scoreless innings.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Chicago White Sox
Matt Joyce went two for three. Gavin Floyd gave up an unearned run on four hits with eight strikeouts in eight innings for the win.

Oakland A’s @ Minnesota Twins
Hideki Matsui went two for four with two runs and a home run. David DeJesus went two for four. Jim Thome hit a two-run home run. Brandon McCarthy gave up two runs with five strikeouts in 7-1/3 innings.

Florida Marlins @ Houston Astros
Angel Sanchez went three for five with a run. Humberto Quintero went two for three with a run and an RBI. J.A. Happ gave up one run on four hits with five strikeouts in 7-2/3 innings for the win. He also drove in two runs.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
Peter Bourjos went one for four with two RBI. Jo-Jo Reyes gave up one earned run with six strikeouts in seven innings, but took the loss.

Chicago Cubs @ Milwaukee Brewers
George Kottaras went two for four. Marlon Byrd went two for three with three runs. Darwin Barney went two for four with an RBI.

St. Louis Cardinals @ San Francisco Giants
Ryan Theroit went two for five. David Freese went three for five with two runs, a home run, and three RBI. Skip Schumaker went two for four with two RBI. Freddy Sanchez went two for four with a run. Kyle Lohse gave up one run on five hits with five strikeouts in eight innings for the win. Sergio Romo struck out two in a scoreless inning.

Cleveland Indians @ Seattle Mariners
Asdrubal Cabrera went three for five with a home run and two RBI. Orlando Cabrera went two for four. Ryan Langerhans hit a two-run homer. Josh Tomlin gave up three runs in 6-2/3 innings to improve to 2-0 with a 2.63 ERA.

Los Angeles Dodgers @ San Diego Padres
Orlando Hudson went two for four with a run and a stolen base. Ryan Ludwick went one for three with two runs and a homer. Nick Hundley went one for two with two runs, a home run, and two RBI. Cameron Maybin went two for two with a home run and two RBI. Aaron Harang gave up one earned run on three hits in six innings to improve to 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA.

Cincinnati Reds @ Arizona Diamonbacks
Willie Bloomquist went three for five with two runs and a stolen base. Ryan Roberts went one for three with a three-run home run. Scott Rolen went two for three with three runs and an RBI. Jonny Gomes went two for four with a home run and three RBI. Edgar Renteria went two for three with an RBI.

New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox
Marco Scutaro went two for two with two RBI. Josh Beckett’s eight scoreless innings and ten strikeouts was the story.
