Wilson Ramos went two for for three with two runs and two RBI to raise his average to .450. Laynce Nix went two for four with a run. Placido Polanco remained hot going two for five with an RBI. He’s hitting .349. Wilson Valdez is hitting .355 after going two for four with a run. Livan Hernandez gave up one run with six strikeouts in 6-2/3 innings to even his record at 1-1 and lower his ERA to 3.50.

Florida Marlins @ Atlanta Braves
Martin Prado is hitting .298 after going two for four with two runs. Chipper Jones went one for two with a pair of RBI. He’s hitting .308. Chris Coghlan went two for four.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Boston Red Sox
Johnny Damon went two for four with two RBI and a stolen base. Dan Johnson went two for three with a run. Jed Lowrie went two for four with an RBI.

Chicago Cubs @ Houston Astros
Angel Sanchez went four for five with two runs and two RBI. Humberto Quintero went three for three with two runs. Marlon Byrd went three for three to raise his average to .391. Tyler Colvin went two for four with a home run.

Kansas City Royals @ Minnesota Twins
Michael Cuddyer went four for four with a run. Jason Kubel went two for five with a run to raise his average to .314. Luke Hughes went two for four with two RBI. Wilson Betemit went two for four with an RBI.

Oakland A’s @ Chicago White Sox
Omar Vizquel went three for five. Daric Barton went four for five with a run. Hideki Matsui went three for five with two RBI. Mark Ellis went two for five with a run and an RBI. Sergio Santos struck out three in two scoreless innings.

Cleveland Indians @ Los Angeles Angels
Dan Haren’s shutout was the story, but Fausto Carmona was solid allowing two runs on four hits with six strikeouts in 7-2/3 innings.

Russell Branyan went two for four with a run. Ryan Roberts went two for four with a run and an RBI. Ryan Theriot went three for six with two runs. Lance Berkman went three for five with a home run and two RBI. David Freese went two for four with a home run and two RBI.

Toronto Blue Jays @ Seattle Mariners
Ryan Langerhans hit a two-run homer. Corey Patterson was two for four with two RBI and a stolen base. Michael Pineda gave up one earned run on five hits with seven strikeouts  in 7-1/3 innings for the win.

Cincinnati Reds @ San Diego Padres
Drew Stubbs was two for six with a home run and four RBI. Jonny Gomes was two for four with a run and an RBI. Orlando Hudson went two for five to raise his average to .324. Nick Hundley went one for three with two runs. Alberto Gonzalez went two for five with an RBI. Seth LeCure gave up one run on one hit with eight strikeouts in six innings. Clayton Richard gave up one earned run on five hits in 7-2/3 innings. Neither starter factored into the decision.
