Gordon Beckham went 2 for 4 with a run and 2 RBI. Brent Morel went 1 for 4 with two runs and a stolen base. Edwin Jackson picked up the win while allowing two earned runs in six innings. He struck out seven. Chris Sale struck out a pair in 1-1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Rafael Perez struck out a pair in a scoreless inning of relief for the Tribe.

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Chicago Cubs
Paul Maholm gave up five hits in 6-2/3 scoreless innings. Unfortunately Evan Meek (five runs, 2/3 inning) blew his lead. Kerry Wood struck out a pair in a scoreless inning of relief.

Atlanta Braves @ Washington Nationals
Rick Ankiel went 1 for 3 with a home run and three RBI. Wilson Ramos went 3 for 4. John Lannan gave up one run in five innings to pick up the win. Alex Gonzalez went 3 for 3 with a home run for the Braves.

Minnesota Twins @ Toronto Blue Jays
Yunel Escobar went 2 for 5 for the Jays. Travis Snider went 1 for 2 with two RBI. Jose Molina went 2 for 3 with two runs and a home run. Kyle Drabek gave up one run on one hit in seven innings for the win. He struck out seven.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim @ Kansas City Royals
Alcides Esobar went 2 for 5 with an RBI and a stolen base. Jeff Francoeur went 2 for 4 with a run. Chris Getz went 3 for 4 with two RBI. Aaron Crow struck out two in 1-2/3 scoreless innings to earn the win. Howie Kendrick went 2 for 5. Alberto Callaspo went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Erick Aybar went 2 for 4.

Ryan Ludwick went 2 for 3 with four runs and an RBI. Chase Headley went 2 for 5 with two runs and four RBI. Nick Hundley went 2 for 4 with two RBI. Cory Luebke struck out two in a scoreless inning of relief. Allen Craig went 1 for 4 for the Cardinals with two RBI.
