Josh Willingham went two for four with his fifth home run and his 16th RBI. Kurt Suzuki went two for four with a home run. Andy LaRoche went two for four. It was his third straight game with two hits. Cliff Pennington went two for three with an RBI. Chris Davis went two for four. Julio Borbon went two for two with two runs .

Wilson Ramos went two for three with a run to raise his average to .375. Aaron Rowand went two for four to raise his average to .290. Tom Gorzelanny gave up three hits in eight scoreless innings to improve to 1-2 with a 2.93 ERA. Madison Bumgarner took the loss despite giving up just two runs on five hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Has has allowed just three runs in 13 innings over his past two starts.

Alex Gonzalez went two for four with a run and three RBI (13). David Ross went two for four with a home run. Yuniesky Betancourt went two for three with two RBI (12). Jair Jurrjens gave up two runs in 7-2/3 innings to improve to 3-0 with a 1.52 ERA.

New York Yankees at Detroit
Nick Swisher went two for four with an RBI (13). Jorge Posada went two for five with two RBI (14). Ramon Santiago went three for four with a run to raise his average to .289. Alex Avila went two for four with a pair of home runs. He’s hitting .309 with five home runs and 21 RBI. Bartolo Colon gave up three runs with seven strikeouts in seven innings, but got a no-decision.

Maicer Izturis went three for four with a run and an RBI. Clay Buchholz gave up two runs in six innings to earn the win.

Derrek Lee went three for four with a home run and two RBI. Alex Rios went two for four with two runs and a homer. Mark Buehrle pitched 6-2/3 scoreless innings to pick up the win.

Gaby Sanchez went two for five with a home run and four RBI (14) to raise his average to .294. Emilio Bonifacio went two for four to raise his average to .329. Ryan Theriot went three for five with a run to raise his average to .317.
