Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.

Tampa Bay at Florida
James Shields struck out 13 in a three-hit shutout. He improve to 5-2 with a 2.00 ERA. Casey Kotchman supplied the offense going two for three with a run and an RBI.

Houston at Toronto
Angel Sanchez went two for five with a run. Brett Wallace went two for three with an RBI to raise his average to .318. Yunel Escobar went two for three. J.P. Arencibia went two for four with his eighth home run. Wandy Rodriguez gave up two runs with six strikeouts in six innings to improve to 3-3 with a 3.41 ERA.

Texas at Philadelphia
Matt Harrison gave up five hits in 8-1/3 scoreless innings to improve to 4-4 with a 3.62 ERA. David Murphy went two for four.

New York Mets at New York Yankees
Brett Gardner went two for four with two runs and two RBI. Chris Dickerson went two for three with a run and two RBI. Fernando Martinez went two for four with a run. Willie Harris went three for four with a run and an RBI.

Cincinnati at Cleveland
Michael Brantley went three for four with three runs, two RBI (22), and a stolen base. Asdrubal Cabrera went five for five with two home runs (9) and five RBI (32). Austin Kearns went one for three with two runs. Jack Hannahan went one for three with two runs and an RBI (17).

Detroit at Pittsburgh
Rick Porcello gave up one hit in eight scoreless innings to improve to 4-2 with a 3.08 ERA. Jhonny Peralta went two for four with a home run.

Washington at Baltimore
Chris Tillman gave up one run in five innings. He got a no-decision. Jordan Zimmermann, yesterday’s streaming pitching option, gave up two runs on four hits with five strikeouts in 6-1/3 innings, but took the loss. Ian Desmond and Michael Morse each went two for four. Vladimir Guerrero did the damage of the Orioles.

Colorado at Milwaukee
Randy Wolf gave up one run on four hits with five strikeouts in seven innings to improve to 4-4 with a 3.70 ERA. Ubaldo Jiminez took the loss, but only allowed two earned runs on two hits over eight innings. He did walk five batters though.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Chicago White Sox
Juan Pierre went three for four with two runs. Alexei Ramirez went four for five with two runs, a home run, and five RBI. James Loney went two for three with a run. Jerry Sands went four for four with a run and a stolen base. Edwin Jackson gave up one run with seven strikeouts in 5-2/3 innings for the win.

St. Louis at Kansas City
Jon Jay went two for five to raise his average to .312. Allen Craig went two for two with a home run and two RBI. Yadier Molina went four for five with two runs and three RBI. Daniel Descalsco went two for five with a run and an RBI. Alex Gordon went two for five with a home run and two RBI (25). Mike Aviles went two for five with an RBI (25). Wilson Betemit went two for five with a home run and three RBI (20). Alcides Escobar went two for five. Jeff Francoeur went one for four with two runs, a  homer, and a stolen base.

Minnesota at Arizona
Willie Bloomquist went two for four with a run. Henry Blanco went two for three. Ben Revere went two for four. Delmon Young went two for four with two runs and a homer. Daniel Hudson gave up two runs with six strikeouts in eight innings to improve to 5-5 with a 3.82 ERA. Francisco Liriano gave up two runs in six innings, but got a no-decision.

Atlanta at Los Angeles Angels
Maicer Izturis went two for four. Freddie Freeman went two for four with a run. Tyler Chatwood gave up one run on five hits with six strikeouts in seven innings to improve to 3-2.

Seattle at San Diego
Justin Smoak and Adam Kennedy each went two for five with a run. Kennedy also stole a base. Miguel Olivo went three for five with three runs and a stolen base. Carlos Peguero went two for four with two RBI. Brendan Ryan went two for five with a run and two RBI. King Felix tossed a gem.

Oakland at San Francisco
Freddy Sanchez went two for four with an RBI. Miguel Tejada went two for five with an RBI. Coco Crisp went two for six with a run, an RBI, and a stolen base. Daric Barton went two for six with an RBI. Cliff Pennington went three for five with a run.

Chicago Cubs at Boston
Tim Wakefield gave up one run on four hits in 6-2/3 innings to pick up the win.
