May 25, 2010

Here’s a look at the unheralded players who played well yesterday.

Delwyn Young, Pittsburgh Pirates
Delwyn went 3 for 5 with a run and 2 RBIs to raise his average to .246.

Orlando Cabrera, Cincinnati Reds
Cabrera went 3 for 3 with a run, an RBI, and a SB. He’s hitting .281 with 21 RBIs and 6 SBs.

Drew Stubbs, Cincinnati Reds
Stubbs went 3 for 4 with a HR (5) and 2 RBIs. Despite hitting just .218 he seems to contribute in every other category.

Mark Teahan, Chicago White Sox
Teahan went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs. He’s hitting just .248 with a .364 slugging percentage. Look away. Nothing to see here.
