Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.

Texas at Tampa Bay
Matt Joyce went one for two with a home run (9) and two RBI (30) to raise his average to .370. C.J. Wilson gave up three runs on three hits with ten strikeouts in 6-2/3 innings, but got a no-decision.

Philadelphia at Washington
Ian Desmond went one for three with two runs and his 16th stolen base. Michael Morse continued his rampage going three for four with two runs and two RBI (24) to raise his average to .301. Danny Espinosa went three for four with two home runs and four RBI. Placido Polanco went two for four to raise his average to .321. Carlos Ruiz also went two for four. Domonic Brown went two for four with a home run. Jason Marquis gave up two runs in 6-1/3 innings to improve to 6-2 with a 4.13 ERA.

Cleveland at Toronto
Michael Brantley went three for five with a run to raise his average to .287. Carlos Santana went three for three with two runs and two RBI (24). Mitch Talbot gave up one run in 6-2/3 innings for the win. Yunel Escobar went two for two with a home run to raise his average to .300. Aaron Hill went two for four.

Chicago White Sox at Boston
Juan Pierre went one for four with a run and two RBI. A.J. Pierzynski went two for four with a run and an RBI. Gordon Beckham went three for five with two runs and an RBI. Brent Morel went one for five with two runs and an RBI. Drew Sutton went two for two with a run and two RBI. Jason Varitek went three for four with with two runs and a homer.

San Francisco at St. Louis
Jon Jay and Allen Craig each went two for four with a run and an RBI. Cody Ross went two for four with an RBI. Brandon Crawford went two for four with a run. Ryan Vogelsong gave up one run in five innings, but got a no-decision.

Brennan Boesch went one for four with two runs and two RBI (25). Jhonny Peralta went two for three with two RBI (31). Brandon Inge went two for three with a run. Danny Worth went two for four with a run. Denard Span went two for five with a run. Justin Morneau went two for four with three runs, two home runs, and three RBI.

Chris Denorfia went three for five with two runs and an RBI to raise his average to .311. Chase Headley went two for five with a run and an RBI. Ryan Ludwick went four for five with an RBI (35). Chipper Jones went two for three with two RBI (31). Freddie Freeman went three for four with two RBI. Mat Latos gave up two runs with seven strikeouts in six innings to improve to 3-6 with a 3.97 ERA.

Corey Hart went two for four with a home run and four RBI. Nyjer Morgan went two for four with two runs, and RBI, and a stolen base.

Ronny Cedeno went one for four with two runs. Angel Pagan went two for four with a run. Daniel Murphy went two for four. James McDonald gave up one run with five strikeouts in six innings, but got a no-decision. R.A. Dickey gave up three runs on five hits with ten strikeouts in 7-2/3 innings, but took the loss.

Houston at Chicago Cubs
Brett Wallace went three for five with two runs and a homer to raise his average to .316. Carlos Zambrano gave up one run with seven strikeouts in eight innings, but lost his win when Carlos Marmol imploded.  Jordan Lyles gave up two runs on five hits in seven innings, but was let off the hook.

Los Angeles Angels at Kansas City
Alex Gordon went three for four with two runs and his 30th RBI to raise his average to .288. Eric Hosmer went two for four with two runs, two RBI, and a stolen base. Jeff Francoeur went one for three with two RBI (32). Chris Getz went three for four with a run. Mark Trumbo went two for three with an RBI (28). Jeff Mathis went two for four with an RBI. Jeff Francis gave up three runs in seven innings to nail down the win.

Florida at Arizona
Gaby Sanchez went two for four with his ninth home run and 35th RBI to raise his average to .322. Anibal Sanchez gave up two runs on six hits with eight strikeouts in eight innings to improve to 5-1 with a 2.57 ERA. He even drove in two runs.

Baltimore at Seattle
Brendan Ryan went two for four with a run. Justin Smoak went one for four with a home run (8) and three RBI (31). Jeremy Guthrie gave up three unearned runs with nine strikeouts in eight innings, but took the loss. Erik Bedard, yesterday’s streaming pitcher option, gave up two runs with seven strikeouts in 6-1/3 innings, but got a no-decision.

New York Yankees at Oakland
Freddy Garcia gave up three runs with five strikeouts in seven innings to improve to 4- with a 3.34 ERA. David DeJesus went two for three with a home run and three RBI. Mark Ellis went two for four.

Colorado at Los Angeles Dodgers
Jamey Carroll went one for three with two runs. Casey Blake went two for three with two runs, a home run, and three RBI. Ted Lilly gave up two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts in seven innings to improve to 4-4 with a 4.22 ERA.
