Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.

Detroit at Toronto
Justin Verlander is far from unheralded, but it would be a crime not to mention his second career no-hitter. Austin Jackson went three for five with a run. Jhonny Peralta went two for five with a home run and two RBI (15). Alex Avila went one for three with two runs, a home run (6), and two RBI (23).

Tampa Bay at Baltimore
Matt Joyce went two for five with a run to raise his average to .344. Casey Kotchman went three for four to raise his average to .373. Jeremy Hellickson gave up three hits in five scoreless innings to improve to 3-2 with a 3.72 ERA.

Cincinnati at Chicago Cubs
Kosuke Fukudome went three for four with an RBI to raise his average to .360. Carlos Pena went three for four with a home run. Blake Dewitt went two for four with two runs and a homer. Ryan Hanigan went two for four. Bronson Arroyo gave up one run in 7-1/3 innings. Casey Coleman gave up two runs on four hits with six strikeouts in six innings. Neither starter factored into the decision.

Minnesota at Boston
Marco Scutaro went two for three. Michael Cuddyer went two for four Clay Buchholz, yesterday’s streaming pitcher option, gave up two hits with six strikeouts in five scoreless innings to improve to 3-3 with a 4.19 ERA.

Milwaukee at St. Louis
Yovani Gallardo was working on a no-hitter as well, but had to settle for one hit over eight scoreless innings. Craig Counsell went two for four. Carlos Gomez went two for three with a run and two RBI. Kyle Lohse took the loss despite allowing just one run over eight innings. He lowered his ERA to 2.24.

Atlanta at Philadelphia
Kyle Kendrick gave up two hits in five scoreless innings to improve to 2-2 with a 1.50 ERA. He should get a couple of start while Roy Oswalt is on the disabled list.

Houston at Pittsburgh
Chris Snyder went one for two with two runs. Brandon Wood went one for four with two RBI. He seems to be thriving in his new home. Charlie Morton gave up one run with five strikeouts in 7-2.3 innings to improve to 4-1 with a 3.13 ERA. Bud Norris gave up three runs with nine strikeouts in seven innings, but took the loss.

Oakland at Kansas City
Hideki Matsui went two for four. Luke Hochevar gave up one run on four hits, but got a no-decision.

Washington at Florida
Roger Bernandina went two for four with a run and a stolen base. Ian Desmond went two for four with two runs and an RBI. Adam LaRoche went one for three with two RBI (14). Jerry Hairston, Jr. went two for four with a run. John Buck went one for three with a home run and two RBI (17). Tom Gorzelanny gave up two runs on two hits with six strikeouts in seven innings to improve to 2-2 with a 2.87 ERA.

Los Angeles Dodgers at New York Mets
Jason Pridie went three for three with two runs to raise his average to .300. James Loney went two for four. Jamey Carroll went three for three with a run. Jon Garland gave up two runs in six innings, but got a no-decision.

Arizona at San Diego
Ryan Roberts went three for five with three runs and a stolen base. Daniel Hudson gave up five hits with six strikeouts in seven scoreless innings for the win.

New York Yankees at Texas
David Murphy went two for four with a home run. Mitch Moreland went three for four with two runs.

Cleveland at Los Angeles Angels
Mark Trumbo went two for four. Alex White gave up three runs with six strikeouts in six innings for the win.

Colorado at San Francisco
Aaron Rowand went two for four with two runs. Freddy Sanchez went three for five with an RBI. Alfredo Amezaga went two for four with a run. Todd Helton went one for four with two RBI (15). Madison Bumgarner and Clayton Mortensen each gave up one earned run in six innings, but did not factor into the decision.

Chicago White Sox at Seattle
Struggling sluggers Adam Dunn and Alex Rios had solid games. Gordon Beckham went three for four with two runs and an RBI. Brent Morel went three for four with an RBI. Gavin Floyd gave up three hits with six strikeouts in eight innings to improve to 4-2 with a 3.67 ERA.
