Ian Desmond & John Lannan, Washington Nationals
Desmond went 3 for 4 with a run to raise his average to .265. He multiple hits in five of his last eight games. Lannan gave up 2 runs on 4 hits with 5 Ks in 7 innings to improve to 4-5 with a 5.23 ERA.

 

Edison Volquez, Cincinnati Reds
Volquez gave up 1 run in 6 innings to improve to 3-1 with a 4.25 ERA. He has allowed 3 runs over 17-2/3 innings in his past three starts.

 

Felix Pie, & Jeremy Guthrie, Baltimore Orioles
Pie went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a SB to raise his average to .302. He has a little seven-game hitting streak going. Guthrie is also riding a little hot streak.
