Why spend big money now when you can let someone else pay a large sum of money, develop him, then just lose him to free agency (most likely to one of these big market teams). Ryan, I agree that Reyes should bounce back but you have a leadoff hitter who injured his legs, where all his value is tied to his ability to steal bases.
