Fantasy Baseball Players of the Day – 5/27

Tuesday, May 27th
Josh Hamilton went 2 for 5 with 3 Runs, a Double, a Grand Slam, and 5 RBI.  Hunter Pence went 5 for 5 with a Double, and 2 RBI.  Johnny Damon went 4 for 5 with 2 Runs, 2 Doubles, a HR, and 3 RBI.  Albert Pujols went 4 for 4 with a solo HR.  Kevin Millar went 3 for 3 with 2 Runs, a Double, 2 HRs, and 3 RBI.  Franklin Gutierrez hit a Grand Slam.  Adam Dunn also had 4 RBI.  Adam LaRoche, Mark Teahan, Manny Ramirez, and Bengie Molina each had 3 RBI.  Jason Bay and Lance Berkman each scored 3 Runs.  Jack Wilson, Jay Bruce (MLB debut), Jarrod Saltalamacchia, Brandon Boggs (3 RBI), Ryan Braun, J.J. Hardy, Kazuo Matsui, Seth Smith, Melvin Mora, Ramon Hernandez, Alexi Casilla, Justin Morneau, Michael Cuddyer, Miguel Olivo, Garrett Anderson each had 3 Hits.

Ervin Santana pitched a Complete Game allowing 2 Runs on 3 Hits with 7 Ks  to improve to 7-2 with a 3.09 ERA.  Aaron Laffey gave up 1 Earned Run in 6 Innins to improve to 3-3 with a 1.59 ERA.  Sean Gallagher (7 Innings, 4 Hits, 1 Run) outdueled Hiroki Kuroda (6-1/3 Innings, 1 Earned Run).  Vincente Padilla got roughed up a little bit (5 Runs in 6 Innings), but he did strike out 10 and improve his record to 7-3 with a 3.67 ERA.  Tim Hudson (8 Innings, 2 Runs, 6 Ks) and Dave Bush (7 Innings, 2 Runs) took no-decisions in their battle.  Shawn Chacon allowed 2 Runs in 7 Innings with 7 Ks to improve to 2-0 with a 3.95 ERA.  Kyle Kendrick went 7-1/3 Innings allowing 2 Runs with 5 Ks to improve to 4-2.  Randy Wolf gave up 2 Runs in 6 Innings in a no-decision.  Nick Blackburn gave up 2 runs in a 8-1/3 Inning no-decision.  Greg Smith tossed 6 scoreless Innings to improve to 3-4 with a 2.84 ERA.  Miguel Batista gave up 2 Earned Runs in a 7 Inning no-decision.

    Josh Hamilton may very well be the comeback player of the 21st Century as of now. That guy has been off the charts this year!

    David – Totally agree. He’s an animal.

    I’ve got the sidebars figured out. Now I need to get the annoying dotted lines removed.
