went 4 for 4 with a Run, a Double, a Triple, an RBI, and a Walk.  Jason Marquis hit a Grand Slam and had 5 RBI.  Hank Blaylock, Stephen Drew, Felipe Lopez, Jerry Hairston, Jr., Shane Victorino, Kevin Youkilis, Mark DeRosa, Ryan Theriot, Vladimir Guerrero, and Reggie Willits each had 3 Hits.  Pat Burrell had 3 RBI.

Ervin Santana gave up 1 Run on 5 Hits in 8 Innings with 9 Ks to improve to 16-6 with a 3.25 ERA.  Brandon Webb gave up 2 Runs in 7 Innings with 6 Ks to improve to 22-7 with a 3.24 ERA.  Gil Meche gave up 2 Runs on 4 Hits in 6 Innings to improve to 13-11.  Zach Jackson gave up 2 Runs in 6 Innings for his first Win of the year.  Jair Jurrjens (7 Innings, 2 Runs, 5 Hits) and J.A. Happ (6 Innings, 2 Runs, 5 Hits) each got no-decisions.  Ryan Rowland-Smith gave up 1 Earned Run in 7 Innings with 6 Ks, but lost.

    watching Ervin blossom was nice this year.

    can anyone stop the Angels? it’ll be fun to see

    the sox have their number in the playoffs. that wasn’t the case in the season, but the playoffs are a diff’t animal.
