Here is a a look back at the past week in baseball to bring you the surprising stars.

Pitcher
Matt Lindstrom - Florida’s new closer was outstanding last week.  Only a Walk kept him from four perfect outings as he collected 3 Saves with a 0.00 ERA and a 0.30 WHIP in 3-1/3 Innings.

Catcher
Taylor Teagarden
- Another Week, another Texas Ranger in the Weekly Wonders.  Taylor went 6 for 17 (.353) last week with 4 Runs, 3 Doubles, 2 HRs, 6 RBI, and 3 Walks.  He’s hitting .344 through 11 games.  Not a bad way to start a career.

Corner Infielder
Ryan Shealy - Kansas City’s Shealy has been tearing the cover off the baseball.  Last week he went 7 for 16 (.438) with 4 Runs, 3 HRs, 7 RBI, and a Walk.  All of those stats except the Walk came in a two games vs. Cleveland.

Middle Infielder
Brandon Wood 
- The Angels have been getting good wood from SS Brandon Wood.  Last week he went 8 for 26 (.308) with 3 Runs, 2 Doubles, 2 HRs, 6 RBI, and a SB.  He raised his average 30 points over the course of the week.  He qualifies at SS & 3B in Yahoo leagues.

Outfielder
Franklin Gutiérrez – Cleveland has to be happy with the tear Gutiérrez has been on.  He’s riding an eight-game hitting streak.  Last week he went 9 for 20 (.450) with 5 Runs, 3 Doubles, an RBI, 2 Walks, and 2 SBs.
