Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 1/10/10

Jan 11, 2010

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

Marcus Thornton, Utah Jazz
Thornton had a solid game Sunday afternoon with 15 points, 3 three-pointers, and 3 steals. He hasn’t done much since Chris Paul came back so don’t make a fuss over him.

Randy Foye and Nick Young, Washington Wizards
Both guards dropped 20+ (Foye 23, Young 20) as Boykins and Mike Miller combined for 11 points. I get the feeling the four of these guys will will take their turns having solid games. I like Foye and Miller the most of the quartet.

Jarrett Jack, Torono Raptors
Jack continues to start and put up solid numbers despite Jose Calderon’s return. Calderon had just 11 points in 22 minutes. Jack played 31 minutes.

Ian Mahinmi, San Antonio Spurs
Mahinmi made all six of his shots, finishing with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Pretty impressive season debut. Obviously you’ll need to follow him to see what he’ll give you before considering adding him.

Anderson Varejao, Cleveland Cavaliers
His rebounding has been great lately, but he’s even starting to score a bit more. He’s averaging 10.7 points over his last six games after his 12 points, 8 rebound effort last night.

Shannon Brown and Jordan Farmar, Los Angeles Lakers
Brown had 19 points while Farmar had 17. Their outburst came because the Lakers completely handled the Bucks.
