Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts – 12/3/09

Dec 4, 2009

Before we get started, check out this week’s fantasy basketball roundtable debate (click here for the article). Now, here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

Rasheed Wallace, Boston Celtics
16 MIN, 13 PTS, 4-9 FG, 3-5 FT, 2 3PM, 2 REB, 4 BLK
Sheed has six blocks in his past two games. He just isn’t producing like it was expected of him. You can only use him in daily transaction leagues at this point.

DeJuan Blair, San Antonio Spurs
22 MIN, 18 PTS, 9-11 FG, 11 REB, 2 BLK, 1 TO
Blair has had back-to-back double-doubles and is worth monitoring. If he continues to play well, pick him up.

Shane Battier, Houston Rockets
34 MIN, 10 PTS, 3-6 FG, 4-6 FT, 10 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 6 BLK
Battier doesn’t usually excel in any category, but he produces in all of them. He’s a decent utility play.

Carl Landry, Houston Rockets
26 MIN, 22 PTS, 8-10 FG, 6-6 FT, 9 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 3 BLK, 3 TO
Landry continues to act like the Sixth Man of the Year.

Vladimir Radmanovic, Golden State Warriors
35 MIN, 20 PTS, 8-13 FG, 4 3PM, 8 REB, 6 AST, 3 STL, 1 TO
Excellent game. He’s picked up his play of late and is a good short-term play while Anthony Randolph is out.

Anthony Morrow, Golden State Warriors
41 MIN, 21 PTS, 8-13 FG, 1-1 FT, 4 3PM, 3 REB, 5 AST
Morrow continues his strong play. He’s averaging 20.3 ppg over the last four games.

C.J. Watson, Golden State Warriors
30 MIN, 12 PTS, 5-9 FG, 2 3PM, 6 REB, 2 AST, 2 STL, 1 TO
Watson is averaging 14.7 ppg, 5 rpg, and 3.3 apg over his past three games.

Arron Afflalo, Denver Nuggets
22 MIN, 17 PTS, 7-9 FG, 3 3 PM, 6 REB, 2 TO
Afflalo needs to have more solid games like this before you consider adding him.

Chris Andersen, Denver Nuggets
26 MIN, 9 PTS, 3-3 FG, 3-4 FT, 10 REB, 2 STL, 3 BLK
Andersen is averaging three blocks a game over his past five games.

Les I picked up both AI and Kevin Love. I gave up Johnny Flynn and Al Thornton to the waiver wire.

I needed scoring and rebounding and these guys filled out the team nicely, if not now then later in the year when they get into shape. I was going to wait on Love to see how he played this weekend but I didn’t want to get beat to the punch. Blake Griffin should be back in January too which should give us another boost.
